"So many names, there is barely room on the walls of the heart." - Billy Collins Every September 11th, the skylight at The Oculus at the World Trade Center is aligned with the sun's path in the sky. Earlier this year, we visited the inside of what Architectural Digest called the "organic form." We all have memories of where we were on that day in 2001 or, if we were too young to remember, inherited memories from others.  For myself, I learned to rely on the kindness of strangers to get home, to not take life and safety for granted... What shifted that day is that we had a "before" and ..read more

A summer without a trip "down the shore"?  Never! While this summer is the busiest in a while, it was great to escape for a few hours! Upon visiting Cape May, New Jersey, for the first time ever due to a work meeting at the Cape May Airport and then to see some dear friends, I was quickly besotted. (Sidenote: If you are a fan of all things aviation, there is an aviation museum near the airport, and I can see parents who want to show their kiddos checking this place out.) The visuals of this charming and adorable shore town reminded me of Ocean Grove, New Jersey, mixed in with some Pleasan ..read more

"The universe is made of stories." -Muriel Rukeyser A branding session for a creative musician -- who plays by ear and sings her heart's songs -- should be, well, creative. An organic and botanical outdoor lifestyle session that goes beyond a simple headshot in a studio was just what this musical artist wanted. While she had done headshots before, we collaborated to tell an authentic and conceptual story about her work during her portrait session; she brought an heirloom hymnal book and her journal as well as a memento from home that helps ground her creative journeys on the piano (hence the ..read more

"It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end." - ERNEST HEMINGWAYTraveling to Miami this past winter was a balm for the soul. Northeast winters are not for the faint of heart but if you can get to Florida for a mini-reprieve of vitamin D with vitamin sea, then winter is (fairly) manageable! Sharing some photos of our recent-ish adventures in Florida back in January in Miami where we visited Miami's Four Season's Surf Club, which truly did "evoke a bygone era." And then hopped over to Coconut Grove for a slower paced Florida visit followed by a tr ..read more

Welcome to our mini-update for our bathroom renovation! If you've been following along on Instagram @antrimandspruce or @celiaragonesephoto, chances are you've seen a renovation update or two. We've finally turned the corner and have a full working bathroom. No more brushing our teeth over the kitchen sink or running around to stay in other people's homes while the toilet was installed. (The joy of having only one bathroom...) We have much to do with the shower still, touch-ups here and there, replacing a couple of items, and then dealing with what I call "The Beast," which is plumbing that ..read more
