Seven Aston Martin Racing powered teams will grace the iconic backdrop of the street circuit around Long Beach California this weekend as both the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship and SRO GT America Series take on their third and second rounds of their season respectively. Obviously, the IMSA event takes precedence as a scaled down grid lines up just the faster GTP class alongside the slower GTD class for this weekend’s one-hundred-minute sprint. That means it’s just the #27 Heart of Racing AMR Vantage GTD car this time but that car will also see a revised driver line up al ..read more

The naming of yet another driver by the Italian Lazarus Corse Aston Martin Racing team confused matters yesterday as the confirmed that Italian racer Mattia Di Giusto would now be partnering Finnish racer William Alatalo within their AMR Vantage GT3. The team also confirmed for the first time that this driver line up will be competing within their national Italian GT Series. Di Giusto Alatalo Whilst this is all obviously great news, there now lies one simple question regarding the involvement of the first driver the team named for their 2024 commitments – where is Jorge Loren ..read more

As one driver had put it after the race that they had had higher hopes for their opening race but sometimes you just need to accept what comes your way and build upon that result for the subsequent rounds. Wise words of experience indeed from the America racer, Derek DeBoer who had just completed one of his biggest race events of his racing career to date with the Racing Spirit of Leman team and co-drivers Valentin Hasse-Clot and Casper Stevenson within the opening round of the European Le Mans Series in Barcelona with their Aston Martin Racing Vantage LMGT3.   It wasn’t to be any triumphant return to the Japanese Super GT Series for the Fuji based D’Station Racing team as early difficulties placed them at the back of the grid for today’s opener before late tyre issues dropped them back still stiff further. After recent official tests, the series opened their 2024 account at the Okayama circuit again with the #777 D’Station Racing Aston Martin racing Vantage GT3 of Tomonobu Fujii and Marco Sorensen being the sole AMR representative within their twenty-six strong GT300 Class.
