We’ve made it back to the UK with our friends. So far, so good! But there’s still a lot to do… As much as I miss kiting and teaching, I haven’t got a clue as to when I’ll be able to return to West Shore. In the meantime, I will keep these pages updated. As I mentioned in my previous posts I was going to return to Llandudno end of April / beginning of May. Shortly after news broke about the war in Ukraine and the introduction of the Homes for Ukraine scheme, my better half and I decided to support a refugee family. I’m now in Hungary helping them with their Visa-process, teaching them English and just keeping them company when it’s needed. We’re hoping for the Visas to arrive (it’s been 5 weeks since we started the process) and for us all to board a plane for Manchester. Watch this place for updates about lessons. Freezing, isn’t it? Welcome to this first post in 2022. It’s only a short one to keep you updated about the plans to return to teaching in the Spring. Fingers crossed, Beginner and Refresher sessions can resume in a few months! I’ve been working away from Llandudno for the past year and a half, and might still be busy for the foreseeable future hence the online store now shows everything ‘Out of Stock’, which is more or less true. I haven’t had the time (mostly the nerves) to dive into the new craze of importing. It hasn’t stimulated my appetite, as prices have gone up, shipping times have bec ..read more

Covid has caught up with me… I’d been looking forward to teaching after a long, long wait when two things happened. In chronological order first, my better half came up with a plan to see my family in Hungary and booked me on a flight. It’s not for 2 weeks, but she also caught (or at least tested positive for) Covid, meaning we’re both self-isolating for 10 days. That leaves me out of action for the next few weeks. Please get in touch if you have purchased vouchers, or have lessons booked. Many thanks for bearing with me. I’ll be looking at scheduling lessons for late September/early October ..read more

Teaching remains suspended

As four counties (including Conwy) in North Wales go back into lockdown, all lessons remain suspended for the foreseeable future. The Welsh government plans a rolling lockdown system based on infection numbers. We’ll have to see what next year brings. Our webshop is still open, please have a look and get in touch with your requests/orders. Stay safe and see you when the coast is clear.
