Kedron Elementary’s Jamie Voorhies will be the fifth principal in Starr’s Mill High School history. Full story coming soon. (Atlanta Journal Constitution) At last night’s Board meeting, the Fayette County School Board of Education approved Jamie Voorhies as the next principal of Starr’s Mill High School. Voorhies is the current principal at Kedron Elementary. As if Taylor Swift had not already propelled herself into superstardom, the release of “The Tortured Poets Department” has cemented her status as a revered poet and genius songwriter.  At first listen, it is difficult to dive deep into the album given its melancholia and moodiness. Lady Panther soccer added another win via mercy rule in last Thursday’s opening round of the state playoffs.  “It’s not who we play, it’s how we play,” head coach John Bowen said. “[It’s about] maintaining a standard and not fluctuating from that.” Within the first 10 minutes of the game Starr’s Mill was up 6-0. Tuesday night, the Lady Panthers hosted Holy Innocents on senior night.  The senior ceremony occurred right before the game began. During the game, the team tried to get all of the seniors to score.  Seniors Sunny McQuade and Erin Stone, and junior Sarah Marshburn scored twice, while freshmen Landry Hunter and Brooke Kalen and seniors Carlee Campbell, Emma Frank, Maggie Kluemper, and Gianna Jimenez scored once.  In the first quarter, the Panthers tied with the Bears.
