I live in the heart of downtown Savannah and something I noticed is how slow construction downtown is and even close to midtown but the second you get out of there, construction is much faster. I swear they’ve been working on that building across the Andaz for months but the new Aldi getting built close to Target is coming up insanely fast. Is there reasons for it? I’ve now seen several shows there. After years of Savannah getting no major acts, I’m thrilled that has changed. However, the sound in there is pretty poor. The echo off the back wall is almost unbearable, depending on where you are sitting. Do you think the city will ever correct this? I’m a landlord and put my rental property up recently with very little responses. In the past I have had no problem finding great tenants in a matter of days and have rented to SCAD students so far. I’m wondering if most SCAD students have already secured their housing for June or if there is going to be a rush for them looking, as a friend has indicated.
