Fall is officially here! At least calendar wise. I’ve been fortunate to travel to two different mountain towns in the past few weeks thanks to friends and family weddings. And it’s been really nice packing up sweaters and breaking out my layers. I thought I’d round up some recent things I’ve found and a few I already own and love! These booties are THE BEST. I wore them ALL day and all night last weekend and not only are they super comfortable, but such a flattering style. They come in many colors and prints and are true to size! This ..read more

Here is a very simple dynamite recipe for you to make as your next appetizer. Shrimp ceviche! I browsed quite a few recipes on the internet and I think I followed this one mostly. There are always other ingredients you can add in like cucumber, jalapeño, jicama, apple, grapefruit, etc, but I kept it a little more simple!) Ingredients: 1 lb cooked jumbo shrimp 1 medium avocado sliced 1/4 cup fresh lime juice 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 1/4 cup orange juice (or the juice of one orange) 1/2 cup chopped cilantro 1/4 cup diced red onion 2 roma tomatoes ..read more

Wow. What a wonderful magical week in Nantucket! I am so glad we escaped the heat for a bit and got to spend some time at the beach with our kids. After Eric and I visited last summer on our own, we were eager to bring our whole family out for some fun. Between some babysitting help out there and camp, we were able to get some alone time cruising around the island. And the kids had a blast doing all sorts of new activities outdoors! I had so much fun wearing all sorts of different outfits while spending as ..read more

It may only be August, but we’ve been enjoying pumpkin snacks all summer long. A healthy snack that my kids love? I’ll do anything to create them at home. I found this simple recipe on Pinterest and it makes about 10-12 balls! Ingredients: 1 1/2 cup old fashioned oats 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice 1/3 cup pumpkin pureé 1/3 cup nut butter 1/3 cup honey 1.5 scoops vanilla protein powder (I use Juice plus!) chocolate chips (if you want to make them more of a treat!) Add chia seeds or flax for extra fiber! Mix all these items ..read more

Hi friends! It’s been a while since I’ve hopped on the blog with some updates. And a really long while since I shared a coffee read. I figured this was the best way to play catch up on here and share a few things. Life with 4 is busy! Especially in summer. We are finding our rhythm over here and it’s been fun. But time management is still quite an adjustment. I totally over-programmed my kids at the beginning of summer. I had no idea what things would look like with a new baby and I wanted to make sure ..read more

Our sweet William is turning 7 weeks old this week! While I am already feeling all the emotions about him outgrowing his newborn clothes, I’m very excited about his longer stretches of sleep and more consistent schedule. One of the best parts of having a blog is being able to reference my old schedules with my babies and see what I was doing before. It’s amazing how quickly you forget! Even your 4th time around. I never shared a schedule this early but I wish I had because I think Will is ready to next schedule and I can’t remember ..read more

I’m currently sitting down at my computer while two children are at camp and two are napping. I just had a sitter here so I could run some errands and this is the only time I really have to sit down and type. So I’m maximizing my alone time. Wow, does it feel good to have a quiet house and a second to myself! We have really been in the thick of it lately. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I’ve been having a hard time. So many sweet friends have complimented me on my ability to get ..read more

There are a few new baby products I’ve never used before that I am trying this go around that have been wonderful! I thought I’d share a few notes. The Baby Brezza This has been a game changer for us. I have been strictly formula feeding and this makes bottle feeding so much easier, especially for those middle-of-the-night bottles. It’s basically like a kuerig for babies. The only “downside” (and I quote because I don’t think this is too much of a downside) is that you have to clean it often. But honestly, the cleaning process is easy and not ..read more
