I really want to work on my pie skills so I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to try one out. I made one from The Book on Pie (a rental from the library but I would highly recommend for anyone serious about their pie game). I hope you all are enjoying your weekends! It’s felt so merry around here lately. The house is all decorated for Christmas, we’re playing our favorite carols and celebrating with family and friends. We went to my brother-in-law’s house tonight for our second annual gingerbread night which has been much anticipated. The kids watched the old Frosty the Snowman and were laughing so hard. Happy December! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! We were greeted with our first snow of the season on December 1st. It was so magical to wake up and see all the white. Augustine and Corinna were outside right after breakfast and probably spent 6 hours outside that day between sledding, making snowballs, and running around. Corinna and I went to see The Nutcracker Ballet this weekend and it was such a special time just the two of us. Hi! Ok, how are we almost at mid-November?! I feel like we’re already getting in the holiday mood around here. In Idaho, people put up their exterior Christmas lights early because no one wants to be doing that when it’s icy/snowing! Happy weekend everyone! I’ve had a busy weekend of meal prep over here. Of course, I decided to be busy in the kitchen when Matthew is off camping, but thankfully he came back a little early (his choice not mine) so I will have some extra help today (Sunday).
