It’s a rainy Friday and less than a week until vacation, so I’m keeping things pretty chill with today’s blog post. A couple weeks ago, I asked my Instagram followers to submit questions they had for me. If you’re interested in learning a bit more about me, keep reading!  How many cruises have you been on and what was your favorite? I have been on 19 cruises—15 with Royal Caribbean—and recommend cruise vacations to everyone I know! My favorite cruise was our honeymoon cruise in May 2022 on Harmony of The Seas. I’ll link it, here. I love the Oasis-class ships and really enjoyed all the po ..read more

I got the opportunity to travel a lot in 2022! (Some for work and some for personal.) Thanks to these opportunities I got to catch up with friends, face my fear of flying and make memories that’ll last a lifetime. Below are six trips I went on in 2022 and five must-do’s for each destination! Phoenix, Az. Did you know Phoenix is the fifth-largest city in the United States? I went to Phoenix, Arizona in April for Simpleview Summit and got to explore some of the city while I was there. Although my visit was short, I really enjoyed my time in Phoenix. I felt safe walking around by myself and met ..read more

Ryan and I took a 4-day trip to Philadelphia for my 28th birthday. I grew up outside of Philly and spent a lot of weekends exploring the city (both my parents worked in Center City). So, I thought it was about time my husband experiences the “City of Brotherly Love”… Being such a huge foodie, I was extremely excited about all the amazing food we’d be eating on this trip—and Philly did not disappoint. I enjoyed tons of soft pretzels, cheesesteaks, pizza, hoagies, sizzles and more. Philadelphia is a foodie’s paradise. Add these 6 spots to your itinerary next time you’re in Philadelphia: Hatvill ..read more

Book: A Court of Thorns and Roses (Book #1 of series) Author: Sarah J. Mass Rating: Genre: Fantasy fiction Pages: 448 A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) took over #booktok a couple months ago and I was not particularly interested in reading it. I’ve listened to TikTok recommendations in the past and haven’t been entirely happy with them. (Sorry—not naming any names!) But, so so many people recommended ACOTAR to me that I couldn’t resist anymore. It’s all my coworkers fault. I picked it up from Barnes and Noble during a date night and devoured it in 3 days. ACOTAR Synopsis: When nineteen ..read more

September 2022 Updates and Roundup

So far, September hasn’t been the greatest. With only 9 days into the month, I’ve almost been kidnapped (it’s a long story), my car has been broken into twice, I got a parking ticket, our fridge broke + we’re currently quarantined due to a COVID-exposure. Plus, that’s not even all of it… just the stuff I can say on the internet! Typically September is my favorite month. It’s my birthday month (mark it down: Sept. 23, y’all) and our anniversary. Maybe it’s just a little bit of a bad luck streak??? And like, honestly, there’s still so much to be grateful for. Hanging out at the Carolina Beach bo ..read more

Health and fitness has become a huge priority of mine in 2020. Currently, I’m trying Burn Boot Camp in North-West Raleigh for a month and really enjoying it. So far, I am loving the workout! However, I’m only on my second class so I feel as though I can’t give it a good review yet! Yet, it got me thinking about all the different workout classes I’ve tried over the years. In my experience, workout classes make exercising fun and help you stay on track! I’ve also found that I’m able to pick up practices and skills from class to bring back to the gym. There are so many different workout classes i ..read more

I’m a pretty avid traveler. In the past two years, I’ve explored over twenty different cities and flown out of the country a few times. However, I recently discovered, I enjoy no place more than home. Nowadays, I find myself less impressed with other cities because Raleigh has some of the best restaurants, museums, and nightlife I’ve ever seen. That’s why I now swear by staycations! There’s no place I’d rather be, so why not have a vacation in The City of Oaks as well? My new favorite thing to do is book a hotel for the weekend and explore the city like I’m seeing it in a different light. I wa ..read more
