Photo by John E. Moore III/Getty ImagesWILL THE SECONDARY SHUT DOWN UOFL’S NEW GROUP OF RECEIVERS? While UofL had a solid pass defense last season, they struggled late in the season when the wear-and-tear of the season started to take its toll. Louisville’s interceptions decreased each quarter of the season while their passer rating defense got worse as the season went on even as teams threw the ball fewer times against them. Happy very late Easter, Cloids. —A wild sequence of events to come back home to this morning: First, Brandon Marcello of 247 Sports tweets that six Louisville players will be entering the transfer portal. Fairly quickly, two of those players — offensive linemen Michael Gonzalez and Madden Sanker — say the report isn’t true. Then Marcello deleted the tweet and issues an apology. For full transparency: I received conflicting info after the initial report (5 OL, 1 DL), and there was also confusi ..read more
