I was talking to my sister recently about newborn sleep tips and how hard it can be in the beginning. We were talking about getting a baby to sleep through the night. With school wrapping up in just a couple of short weeks, I’m looking forward to the upcoming days filled with fun summer activities for the kids. My kids are 1, 3, and 6, and outside of two weeks of a family vacation, we don’t have too much planned this summer. I didn’t ever think I’d hire a night nurse for my babies. My husband is a totally hands-on dad, so I guess I didn’t think we’d need hired help because the two of us managed pretty well for our first two babies. But then our third baby came along, and suddenly we were outnumbered. Now that we’ve had a few nice days in a row, I’m antsy to start the summer. By that, I mean pool parties, patio lunches, and wearing dresses everyday! Two summers ago I was in great shape, last summer I was newly postpartum, and this summer I’m kind of in between sizes. I had SUCH a hard time finding shoes that fit well on my daughter because of how narrow her feet were as a baby. The shoes everyone swore by didn’t work for us. They were usually too wide and would fall off her foot, or they just looked uncomfortable once she started walking.
