If you could travel the world with your family, what would go into your nomad family packing list? Would you bring the bare nomadic essentials, or would you bring sentimental items too? What must have for family travel would you take?
From 2018-2021, our family lived out of backpacks and slow traveled around the world. Our lifestyle was even documented and featured on CNN travel!

As a digital nomad family, one of the most useful tools for staying connected is a travel WiFi router. In this guest post, my husband, Clint Bush (who works full time as a software engineer), shares his reasons why you need a portable router for travel.
We’ve been working remotely since 2018. As a remote worker, it’s important to have consistent internet connection. Nothing is worse than being on a Zoom call (or leading a meeting, for that matter) and dropping out because of an unstable connection.

The island of Bali in Indonesia is no doubt on many families’ bucket lists. And when it comes to finding the best hotels in Bali for families, the island offers a diverse range of options that cater to both parents and kids alike. We love how many of the family hotels in Bali combine comfort, culture, and fun.
As someone who’s been coming to Bali for decades (my first time was in the 1980’s!) I know that it’s a great travel spot for families. From the bustling streets of Kuta and the cultural heart of Ubud, to the tranquil waters of Amed and the authentic charm of Padang Bai, Bali has no short ..read more

When it comes to bucket list vacations, a family trip to Bali in Indonesia ranks high on that list. The island’s culture and landscapes continually capture the imaginations of travelers. It’s not uncommon for a 10 day Bali itinerary with family to include a mix of beach play, temple visits, cultural activities and relaxation time. There are just so many things to do in Bali!
I’ve been visiting Bali ever since I was a young girl. And the island’s culture and the beauty has always fascinated me. In 2019, we spent two fulfilling months living in Bali, and the experience really allowed me to dive ..read more

The Indonesian island of Bali is the perfect travel destination for families. The island is packed with opportunities for families to learn Bali facts, and also full of amazing cities to visit, like Ubud. We spent time in Ubud in 2019, and loved experiencing all the things to do in Ubud for kids.
During part of my time in Ubud, I partnered with Global Family Travels, a tour company based out of Seattle, USA, to experience Balinese culture. They lead family-friendly tours in countries around the world, as well as in the Seattle area.

Summer in the Pacific Northwest is the perfect time for hiking. And in my opinion, it's an especially great time to do some hikes in North Cascades National Park with kids!
We love the greenery of the Northwest. And our close proximity to mountains and water make it so enticing to be outside. We've had fun visiting several of the Washington state parks. We've also enjoyed visiting the national parks, like doing Mount Rainier hikes with kids or Olympic National Park.

We love visiting New York City with kids, ever since our kids were small! The hustle of NYC excites the city gal in me. And while there are dozens of well-known things for families to do in New York City, our favorite way to enjoy the city is to seek out non touristy things to do in NYC.
In 2018, our oldest son moved to New York City. When we visit him, we usually spend a week to a month in the city, which gives us plenty of opportunities to experience NYC attractions, especially the off the beaten path things to do in NYC.
