Guys, I can’t believe this month marks the one year we bought our house! Time flew right by because it still feels like we just moved in! Needless to say, I’m still slowly decorating and making upgrades to the space. When we first found this home after searching for 2+ year (you can read our home buying journey on San Francisco Magazine), we were surprised by the square footage this house has to offer. It was a rare gem if you know how crazy the real estate market is in SF! It’s a  3 bedroom 2.5 baths, with a big bonus space that acts as a storage/laundry room. But really, the stora ..read more

How To Make A Room More Inviting (It’s Not Just Adding Another Pillow)

One place I spend a lot of time in is my home office. It’s where I blog, run my business, take conference calls, and pay my bills! So I’m pretty confined to one space – actually more like one corner. I haven’t been able to spend too much time decorating my new home since moving in. My home office is literally made up of a desk, a chair and a white cabinet – all in a corner. Simply put, it’s not very inviting, nor interesting. I wanted to make my office more cozy and a space that I enjoy spending time in. After all, most of my day is spent here. Now, I’m not an interior designer or anything, b ..read more

(Photo by Jeanne Chan for Harlow & Grey; shown here Muse Collection.) Hi everyone, as most of you know, a lot of my time is now spent working full time on Harlow & Grey, a design partyware business that I launched with my dear cousin Gloria two years ago. It’s an exciting time for our company. And even though we have to endure the common struggles of growing a small business (someone please tell me persistence pays off!), we are hanging in there. All thanks to our two super amazing and dedicated employees – Erika and Quyen – who keep us afloat! And as our modern and chic partywar ..read more

It’s been a goal of mine to help Hayden explore and advance her art skills. She’s really good at drawing and has a special gift for art. I know every parent says that about their kids, BUT Hayden is very detailed and patient and amazingly creative! Right now, she’s learning a lot about dos and don’ts and how art is “supposed” to look like – mostly inspired by things she sees in coloring books, cartoon characters, and everyday life. She loves drawing her family (which is suuuper sweet and I keep each and every one of them), and she’s really into creating these mini story books with pop-out art ..read more

My year started out incredibly busy this year, and I finally feel like I’m able to come up for air. I couldn’t be more excited for our spring break coming up in about two weeks. We’ll be going to our first glamping trip! :) To get ready for the new season, I took my girls, Hayden and Hadley, to one of our favorite stomping grounds, Stanford Shopping Center, in Palo Alto for some shopping. It’s literally a one-stop shop for me, except fancier. :) We dined, we shopped, and we took Easter bunny photos! I usually like to share snippets of my shopping on Instagram (often calling ourselves mal ..read more

How are we approaching December already?! It seems like each year is going by faster than the last. One of our favorite holiday traditions is to take our classic Santa photo. Knowing how fast Christmas comes around, I generally like to get ahead and avoid the crowd by taking my girls to see Santa first thing after Thanksgiving. So, over our Thanksgiving break, I took the girls to Stanford Shopping Center out in Palo Alto to get our photo taken. But don’t fret, you can actually book your Santa Photo Experience online to reserve your time slot.  As you know, I’ve been partnering with Stanf ..read more

I can’t recall the last time I had a day all to myself. Most of my weekends now are either with my kids or working on our new home (yes, we just bought a home!), so I hardly get to do anything that I used to enjoy, like shopping! This past weekend, I had the perfect excuse to escape for a day out for some “me” time. As a partner with Stanford Shopping Center, they invited me to attend a VIP beauty event at Neiman Marcus and to visit this new-to-me Italian womenswear brand Luisa Spagnoli for an exclusive look at their new autumn/winter collection. I even got to bring my very stylish friend ..read more
