What’s your background? How did you end up with Thorne?
My background is in manufacturing. I started with Thorne right out of high school and have held many different roles throughout the company. I was attending college part-time when I started and continued to do so as I progressed in my career. Attending classes and working at the same time was advantageous since I could apply my learning to real-life scenarios. Now I am the VP of Manufacturing.

What’s your background? How did you end up with Thorne?
I graduated with a BS in Bioengineering from Clemson University in 2016 (go Tigers!) and previously worked as a Quality Engineer at a pharmaceutical and wellness contract manufacturer based in Georgia. I joined Thorne in March 2020 (yes, right at the start of the pandemic!) as a Validation Engineer I and have since been promoted to Validation Engineer III. What’s your background? How did you end up with Thorne?
I grew up in Anderson, SC, and then graduated from The Citadel in December 2018 with a degree in Business. A few months after Thorne completed its move from Idaho, I met their recruiters at a career fair. In January 2019, I began working in Thorne’s Supply Chain department. Since then, I have been promoted three times to my current role as Senior Manager of Strategic Planning and Business Operations.

Please tell me about your work at Ingevity and how you ended up in Charleston.
I am the VP of Operations for Ingevity, and my responsibilities include all aspects of the production process for our product portfolio. I started with Ingevity in Brazil and was transferred to our plant in Louisiana and then to Charleston 3 years ago.
