Three pit bulls have been running around in our neighborhood since 2 or 3 o’clock today with free reign of the block. No collars. Seem friendly to humans but hyperaggressive to our dogs when trying to walk them and attempting to get into our backyard through our gate and neighbor’s backyard. Police were called (multiple people have called), they farmed it out to SPCA (which of course was closed). So for upwards of 7 hours (and counting) NOPD has just… done nothing. The call is “Pending”. Let’s hope no one is attacked or mauled in the interim I guess?

If this isn’t allowed let me know and I’ll delete it. Ok so I’ve been on retirement disability through my old employer about five years. Things are getting harder . They gave us a “raise” last July but my insurance goes up every year and takes a good chunk out of my check. I don’t qualify for SSDI or SSI. Anyone have any ideas of programs that can help because trying to make it on about 790 bucks a month is hard. If my body would let me I’d go back to work. Anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks y’all!

Today I was invited to a wedding of a young Pakistani-American couple. There are a number of preceding events, some of which call for traditional clothing. Are there places in the New Orleans area that sell this type of thing? I know there are online resources, but I do like to try on things in person.
(I know Indian and Pakistani are not the same thing, but I feel like I have never seen a store specializing in Pakistani clothing.)

"Brothers."
I nearly screamed. It was NOT the pull I was expecting. But, I can't even argue, when I visited home last week, I had my Uber driver stop at Brothers otw to my mom's house from the airport... and y'all, the driver came in and got some chicken too. I'm already thinking I should've stowed a nine piece in my checked bag otw back. The supposed best chicken in town where I'm at is 2 pieces for 11 bucks. And there's no boudin up here. Send help.
