New Orleans has played Denver well all season
It’s become a ritual to scoreboard watch for more than half of the Western Conference on non-game days over the past few weeks. As many are probably aware in New Orleans, yesterday was not a good day for the Pelicans.
ESPN 2022-23 NBA Standings
The Suns, Clippers, Timberwolves, Lakers, Thunder, Mavericks and Jazz were all in action and only Dallas and Minnesota picked up L’s. So before the start of tonight’s slate of matchups, the Pelicans are ninth in the standings, needing to figure out a way to win as many ..read more

New Orleans was outscored 74-46 after halftime
It’s not a shock that New Orleans lost, or even how the house of cards came crumbling down, but the result is disheartening nevertheless.
The Pelicans showed a national audience that they didn’t possess enough experience, focus and poise to beat the defending World Champs on their home floor. The Warriors willed the 120-109 victory because they darn near dictated everything in the second half.
Leading the charge out of the Golden State locker room to make up a 17-point deficit was none other than ... Donte DiVin ..read more

New Orleans is flying high behind BI, Trey and others while the Warriors threesome of Steph, Klay and Poole have been piling up the points
Tuesday’s matchup between the New Orleans Pelicans and Golden State Warriors appears to boil down to one thing: Can Brandon Ingram direct his squad to put up 120 points or more on the scoreboard?
If recent history is any indication, the Pelicans have rediscovered their offensive firepower behind the play of their star forward. Not only is Ingram filling up the stat sheet on a nightly basis, the Pelicans are averagi ..read more

New Orleans’ fifth straight victory!
With the Portland Trail Blazers missing their top four scorers, it would have been easy to not get up for tonight’s matchup. Since getting dismantled by the Los Angeles Lakers though, the New Orleans Pelicans have not lacked for bountiful amounts of energy and focus.
Monday’s 124-90 victory was exactly what fans wanted to see for a Pelicans team playing on the first night of a road back-to-back and credit another fantastic start.
“I liked that fact that we came in and just took care of business,” Willie Green said. “We kno ..read more

Portland will be without four-fifths of their typical starting lineup
The New Orleans Pelicans have a difficult remaining schedule to conclude the 2022-23 regular season. Seven of their remaining eight opponents have records above .500 at the time of this writing.
Tonight’s opposition is the lone exception.
There’s no doubt about it. The Pelicans must find a way to beat a Portland Trail Blazers squad that has thrown in the towel, especially after reading their latest injury report.

New Orleans wins their fourth straight!
The New Orleans Pelicans put together one of their most satisfying victories of the season late last night, leading the Los Angeles Clippers wire to wire and finishing on top of a lopsided 131-110 score.
Brandon Ingram was, once again, otherworldly. He followed up his first career triple-double from a few nights ago with 32 points, 13 assists and four rebounds.
This marked Ingram’s second straight double-digit assist game and kept a personal streak unblemished. When Ingram’s dropped 10 or more dimes, his team is ye ..read more

Trigga is a go!
The New Orleans Pelicans will have the services of Trey Murphy when they tip off against the Los Angeles Clippers tonight.
Murphy was listed as questionable on yesterday’s injury report with left great toe irritation. He’ll join Zion Williamson (right hamstring strain), Jose Alvarado (right tibial stress reaction) and E.J. Liddell (right knee ACL injury recovery) on the sidelines.
The Clippers will be without Paul George (right knee sprain), Norman Powell (left shoulder subluxation) and Brandon Boston Jr. (tailbone contusion).

New Orleans has played this L.A. team well. Can they maintain that trend?
The New Orleans Pelicans are back inside the postseason picture.
Winning three straight games coupled with the Thunder, Mavericks and Jazz on recent slides has the Pelicans sitting in ninth place in the standings before the start of today’s action. With nine games left in the regular season and the Western Conference race remaining as tight as ever, this isn’t the time to relax, however.

Jonas Valanciunas very nearly finished with the seventh 20-20 game of his career too!
The New Orleans Pelicans took care of business on Thursday night, beating a short-handed Charlotte Hornets squad 115-96. This game, however, will be permanently etched in one player’s mind for the rest of his life.
In his 404th NBA appearance, Brandon Ingram notched the first triple-double of his career, finishing with 30 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

New Orleans needs to get the W tonight
The New Orleans Pelicans will face the Charlotte Hornets tonight, a squad that’s already been eliminated from postseason contention.
The Hornets will be without several key contributors. LaMelo Ball is out for the season after fracturing his right ankle and Mark Williams will miss his sixth straight game due to a sprained right thumb.
Since Ball went out, the Hornets have dropped seven of their last 10 games.
In other words, Thursday’s matchup is a game that the Pelicans must win.
