Do you ever see something yummy at the grocery store, but you’re not sure what to do with it? That’s how I felt about butter waffle cookies every time I went into Sprouts. If you don’t know what they are, butter waffle cookies look exactly like waffles, but they are mini cookies, maybe 1.5 inches round and nearly flat. They are too cute to be denied.
So I finally bought a box and Baby A and I sat down one morning to play with them. These are our three favorite ways to gussy up butter waffle cookies into easy party treats. We made:

Are you knee-deep in DIY birthday party planning for your kiddo? Maybe you’ve got the balloons, the food, and the centerpieces, but you haven’t figured out the party activities. If you’re looking to share the workload on party day — and have a super-fun event — consider hiring birthday party performers.
One of the questions I get from moms is, “But what do I DO with the kids for a two-hour party?”

For our Easter table this year, I made ombre floral centerpieces. You could use this same technique for any party, using any color of flowers. This look is simple to create, doesn’t cost a fortune, and is a great way to highlight your party color palette.
Instead of one central flower arrangement, I made a series of five small arrangements. All together, they created an ombre effect down the center of the table.

For vases, I chose 3-inch square glass vases from Dollar Tree. (I’m not seeing those online now, but Michael’s has similar vases.)

I typically pull out my Grandmother’s china for Easter and this year is no exception. It is getting more delicate as the years go on, so at some point, I may have to stop using it. But for now, I’m leaning into the pattern’s colors. Two years ago, I styled a yellow/white Easter and this year, I’m going for a green and white Easter table setting.
Add flocked bunnies to a sideboard
Since we have a new dining room table and chairs, plus art and Wedgewood plates on the wall, I was determined to use mainly what I already had. (Well, the table is not new — just new to us. The table and chairs are E ..read more

Run, run to WalMart if you are looking for cute neutral Easter decor this year. I went looking for new Easter baskets for my girls (found: rattan with bunny ears!) and came home with ivory flocked bunnies and this 12 x 6 inch wood bunny platter. This bunny tray is perfect for making an Easter s’mores board!
I’ve been so excited to style the bunny board and came up with the idea of making deconstructed s’mores — charcuterie board-style. This has got to be the easiest and fastest Easter project you can make this Spring.
The idea is that you pick a bunny ear marshmallow, a chocolate and a couple ..read more

For the weather themed part of my daughters’ birthday party, I hit on the idea of cloud popcorn. Sweet and salty is a can’t lose combo in my book and I had all the ingredients on hand. Cloud popcorn is a lot like Rice Krispies Treats, but even easier to make and not as sticky.
The basic idea behind cloud popcorn is that I wanted a dessert that would be special for my daughter who is studying meteorology. And if you tilt your head sideways and squint, popcorn, marshmallows, vanilla yogurt chips, coconut and vanilla merginues all kind of look like clouds.
