Hello All,
I am hoping to climb Mt. Blanc sometime between the dates of July 21-24 of this year and need two or three experienced partners. I am well trained in crevasse rescue and anchoring in snow/ice, self arrest, rope management and alpine safety. I am down to earth, easy to get along with.
I received my training in the Himalayas during a month long course and have climbed Mt. Rainier in the states, a comparable peak.
Happy climbing!!

Going to Nepal in October/November to do the three passes and wanting climb Lobuche east whilst I’m there. What would be the most affordable way to do it for someone without mountaineering equipment but basic mountain skills? Should I just go to Dingboche and see if I can get the equipment and guide there? Roughly what price would I be looking at to do it safely?

My friends and I are trying to climb a couple California 14ner this summer. We want to warm up on white mountain and then climb something in the Serria. We are going to see the Palisades Galcier so I am wondering if any of them are class 3 or less, preferably class 2 and don't require Galcier crossing. If not we don't half to climb a palisade. My friends and are are all strong hikers but we don't have a ton of class 3/4 scrambling. We would also like to climb a minaret or ritter. Any suggestions for some fun peaks would be appreciated!

Got a friend selling his raven ultra for cheap. If you’ve used one of these before, what are your thoughts on it? Pros and cons? Where does it perform well and where is it lacking? Thanks everyone.

Hi everyone! I have a chunk of days in Iceland as a stopover in early June and I was looking into climbing Hvannadalshnúkur. I found that mountainguides.is has a guided climb available. Has anyone gone with this group before or does anyone recommend another guided group?
Thank you so much!

Looking for advice on footwear for Mt Olympus in May. My friend I'm going with is planning on GTX trail runners for the whole thing. I suppose those would work well enough if the weather stays good. We'll probably bail if we don't' get a good weather window. But, wondering what the world of Reddit thinks of that plan. One thought I'm having is that it's a lot of miles with pack weight for trail runners. Another part of my overthinking is that trail runners w/gaiters and strap crampons could work well enough in this one case but I'm hoping to get on some other mountains (on my list are Rainier ..read more

Just wanted to hear from some experienced people on some details of training with boxes and stairs (actual stairs in a house / apartment, not the gym), as someone who lives 10 months of the year in flatland.
If one does stairs, presumably with a full load (15-25kg), how many flights of stairs would you advise doing? Or is it more about the net elevation gain? Or time spent?
If one does step ups / step downs with a box, what are the nuances of different box heights - a box that's about knee high vs a box that's lower, say, 10-12 inches. Assuming a full load, what's a good number of reps to tar ..read more
