After a noticeable uptick in occupancy levels from October’s annular eclipse, officials with area visitor bureaus say that thousands of out-of-town guests are expected to visit the San Antonio area again for April 8′s total eclipse. “It happened exactly as we predicted. The team at Judson Early College Academy says their BexarFest project is a labor of love with lots of lessons. A fourth person has been charged in connection with an ambush that allowed a white supremacist Idaho prison gang member to escape as he was being discharged from a Boise hospital. Tia J. A former Comfort High School teacher is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. The former teacher, identified as 38-year-old Tye Rexrode, was taken into custody Thursday morning and booked into the Kendall County Detention Center. Rexrode is facing three charges of an improper relationship between an educator and a student. His bond for each charge was set at $200,000, totaling $600,000. Staff at the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office will be working to find out the exact cause of death for a 67-year-old man who was found inside his burning home Thursday morning. A San Antonio mother has warned about toxins in water bead toys for years. Now, government tests are backing her up. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says its tests found high levels of acrylamide, a known carcinogen, in two brands of water beads. Water beads start out tiny and look like innocent fun.
