What portfolio do you recommend over this investment? I'm willing to take a risk, it doesn't necessarily have to be very safe. Would it be worth the investment? submitted by /u/OkNefariousness4029 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is my Roth Portfolio redundant?

For context, my (31M) father managed my portfolio during my high school and college years. l've invested exclusively in FSKAX since starting to manage myself. I'm trying to consolidate my portfolio to ideally just FSKAX, however I can't help but notice the historical yields on the other stocks are quite significant. Is it dumb of me to sell them off for more FSKAX in the name of simplicity? submitted by /u/erriotriu [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Rare earth metals ETF

I see this topic was discussed here 3+ years ago, but wanted to check if anyone has updated thoughts. I'm thinking of allocating a small portion of my portfolio to rare earth metals / mining. A quick google search shows that REMX is the main ETF for this but it has not performed very well over the last 3-5 years, has a very high fee, and small amount of holdings. I also see PICK as another option, although I can't tell if that has exposure to rare earth metals or just mining more generally. Would love some insight. TIA! submitted by /u/According_Meal1855 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I'm intrigued for sure with regards to it replacing a more conservative portion of my portfolio. But curious how others feel about this? Age 35 with means and intention to retire early. submitted by /u/__chrd__ [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

My plan is to contribute to this portfolio for the next 15 to 20 years then sell my IFW and replace it with dividend stocks/reits. I will also move some of my positions in VOO to SCHD. Do you all think this is a decent portfolio / idea as I get closer to retirement? submitted by /u/Powerful_Star9296 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Soooo just out of boredom, I allocated about 20% of my portfolio to the above tickers. 6.6% each. Would this be considered a risky allocation? The other 80% is basically in the equivalent of VOO. submitted by /u/Biggiesmalls_____ [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Debating giving up Wealthfront and going 100% VTI

I am in a higher risk (8 out of 10) Wealthfront portfolio which is in VTI (45%), VTEB (16%), VEA (15%), VWO (15%), VIG (9%). The underperformance is killing me. I know people say you need to evaluate it over a long period of time, but I'm quite sure the S&P 500 and thus something like VOO will still do better over the long-run given the historical returns are 7%-10% per year. There is a huge lost compounding opportunity by just being in a diversified Wealthfront portfolio. I invested because I thought the automated investing would make life easier, but the limited options, fees, and u ..read more
