Hello, So I'm recently new(17 years old) into investing and have around 1500$ that I wanted to invest. I have read up upon what I could put it into and day trading is something I would rather steer clear of. That leaves me with either long term ETFs, like vanguard, or a long term dividend portfolio. Which one would be better suited for me. Thank you in advance. submitted by /u/Vcffvc3 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hey everyone, I’m gearing up to take my series 63 on Thursday. Would love any tips. As far as studying goes I’m using past perfect which I do like is a program overall. I use them for my SIE and also for my series 6. Study for this exam has been completely different. I like in the feeling too when I first started taking the SIE when all the information was new and I didn’t know what was important to remember and what wasn’t. The series 6 was a breeze after passing the SIE, I think partially because I was so confident and proud of myself. I’ve been back to back on all the test and all the stud ..read more

Hello, I'm sure this has become redundant to this group but I am new to the investing world. I have done some reading up on ETFs and investments and want to learn how to grow my money but not really sure where to start. I currently have a Roth IRA through work that I contribute to monthly and want to do some investing on my own with some inheritance/savings I have. I have 2 goals: build long term wealth & create income/save up for a big purchase such as purchasing a house or investment property. Ideally, I just hope to feel more financially free and know that I am doing something with my ..read more

If you're looking for a great Roth IRA dividend investment check out BDCs. Business Development Companies (BDCs) invest in private companies and small public firms that have low trading volumes or are in financial distress. They're essentially venture capitalist firms except they invest in smaller growth companies. They raise capital through initial public offerings or by issuing corporate bonds and equities or forms of hybrid investment instruments to investors. Because of they are regulated investment companies, By Law, they are REQUIRED TO PAY OUT 90% OF THEIR PROFITS TO SHAREHOLDERS IN TH ..read more

Het guys, newbie too ETF investing here. Im 19, and just started investing as of recently. I’ve been earning some quick bucks through investing in stocks, but since my graduation requires more work by the day, I struggle to keep a good eye on my trades. Thats why I’ve started moving over to investing in ETF’s and my question is which one, (or multiple covering a broader market) would you guys recommend me? I’ve been doing some research and found that VOO, VTI, QQQ are the most mentioned ETF’s, but I’ve also seen some that are fully into TECH or “High growth” Now I’m sure this question is aske ..read more

After exhausting my online and offline resources to get some knowledge, I've finally entered into the world of ETFs. Currently 32 years old. Wish I started sooner, but it is what it is. Would love this community's feedback on my portfolio. Total portfolio: VOO: 50% (Currently I max out my Roth IRA with 100% VOO, but then also have VOO in my taxable account to keep stacking). AVUV: 15% VXUS: 15% VGT: 10% (I know VOO covers a lot here, but this is a bullish tech play) SCHD: 10% Any thoughts, opinions, advice would be immensely appreciated ? submitted by /u/GiraffeKind3773 [visit reddit] [com ..read more

Hi! First of I just wanna say a thanks to all the contributors here because where I´m from ETF´s are not something thats talked much about. I´ve learned a lot from this subreddit:) I have been looking for exposure within the information tech sector, I am building a diversified portfolio. I found an ETF that have many of the companies I want in my portfolio, but the ETF is priced at $12 dollars, which is great..I think because other comparable ETF´s are usually 10x higher. iShares MSCI World Information Technology Ticker WITS has MSFT, AAPL, NVDA, ASML and SAP and ADOBE as its top holdings.
