The Atascocita Eagles are getting ready for the state track meet, coming off a regional title. They have as good of a chance as possible to start off state with a bang, due to the first event being the 4x100 relay. Back in March, Atascocita’s 4x100 team set a national record at Rice, with a blazing 38.92 time. Airlines will now be forced to offer full refunds for flights that don’t get off the ground or are delayed, among other issues. The U.S. Department of Transportation announced the new rule on Wednesday. A deputy has died after he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in northwest Harris County, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The Harris County deputy was assisting at a crash scene on the Grand Parkway at Cumberland Ridge Drive when he was struck by an ongoing vehicle.
