i have had full body eczema for my entire life (f23). i’m pretty sure i’ve had TSW twice and both times i had to resort back to topical steroids. last year, i tried dupixent and it worked, but unfortunately in turn it gave me constant red and dry eyes. i had to stop dupixent last fall bc it looked like my eyes were bloodshot all the time. my dermatologist gave me triamcinolone again, along with tacromilus and eurcrisa. i’ve been trying to stray away from topical steroids and have been using eucrisa more. but i feel as though ill have a good week with my skin and then i’ll start to get flare u ..read more

So been on this thread a long time, and I know I could just search the subreddit as the question has been asked before. However, just in case there are some different/new product recommendations, I thought I'd ask. Specifically looking for something that's good for the face as well as the body. submitted by /u/SnooApples9633 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Good mineral sunscreens for sensitive and eczema affected skin

I have eczema on my face and neck and I’m currently looking for a mineral sunscreen. If I stay outside for too long with direct sunlight hitting my neck/face my skin feels like it’s burning and may even give me red/irritated skin. Any good recommendations for a mineral sunscreen that’ll help hydrate and keep sensitive skin at bay without clogging pores? Based in the uk so it would be great if it is available in a store such as Superdrug. submitted by /u/parizval1 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hey! I don’t have eczema, but my boyfriend has it pretty badly. I was going to try and look up if there were other moisturizers out there (that don’t require a prescription) that might work out better for him? I was wondering if anyone had specific recommendations of what’s worked for them, thanks! :) submitted by /u/Local_Bluejay2745 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

2 units of dysport drastically improved my under eye eczema

My under eyes have been bright red, puffy, and scaly for nearly a year now. The inflammation caused “jelly rolls” under my eyes that I felt insecure about, so I went to a derm who does dysport. We did two units under each eye and to my complete shock I woke up the next morning and my under eyes were smooth and a normal color for the first time in over a year! It’s been a few days now and the eczema hasn’t come back (in that area, I still have it all over the rest of my body) so I can’t speak to long term results, but I thought I would share my experience here because I’m so excited to finally ..read more

I think the Aveeno skin relief is making me itch?

pretty much what the title says.. I’m in the uk and i normally use the green aveeno. i’m also aware they have changed their formulas lately i’ve noticed lately i’ve been a lot more itchy, and when i’ve just moisturised all my dry patches they’ve became incredibly itchy, so i’m worried it’s due to my moisturiser? i am also aware it’s spring now, so it could also be that, but i am rlly worried as i’ve relied on aveeno for a few years and i’m scared to try something new. i’m also allergic to lanolin which is found in a lot of moisturisers. it’s just so frustrating bc my skin has been doing reall ..read more

Does scar/hypopigmentation ever go away?

I haven't been diagnosed yet but i have similar symptoms to eczema or psoriasis in my scalp. I used to think it was a bad case of dandruff before but recently i found that flaking and itching in my scalp might be eczema or psoriasis. After moving to college I've seen my symptoms rise by a lot. I also saw some hypopigmentation near the hairline and was anxious to even cut my hair. But today I finally cut my hair and saw some hypopigmentation near the side and round shaped hypopigmentation in the back. So I was wondering if the scars are permanent or it will eventually go away. I am planning to ..read more

Hello, I was diagnosed with eczema herpeticum yesterday and I was wondering if anyone who’s had it has advice on how to have a speedy & scarless recovery. It started as a small skin infection on my face Monday, but I was concerned by how it was spreading and made a doctor’s appointment on Tues. I’m a college student and called out from work and class, and I went to the doctor’s office each day. On Wed, I wasn’t sure what I had, but the university nurse prescribed me mupirocin since she saw the skin infection and recommended I pick up Vaseline to moisturize the dry skin on my face from Ecz ..read more
