Cubicle 7 is on the lookout for writers so I decided to give it a try. they wanted a link to a sample of my work so here it is! Part of my fourth book Ebony Orb a tribute to Michael Moorcock: He sensed rather than saw the chamber that he had entered. Not a cave with raw stone but a building carved in the stone into a circular shape almost a perfect sphere. The orb seemed to levitate in the centre of the spherical chamber. The orb was blackness through darkness. Half a foot in diameter and lost in its own darkness, it radiated power and pulsated with evil. Damien tasted its anger that it had be ..read more

my latest adventure in a fairy-tale-like style where I give you a general outline and let the dm decide on the details and how to fit it in his world! all of my adventures published in Dungeon Vault magazine are not level specific, so they can be played by all types of parties, they are centred around a city and have a specific purpose. Alternatively, they can be the hook to more adventures or an in-between relapse. they are created so freely as to give the dm the freedom to use them as they wish. in the latest one, I used the bird Caladrius which is a unique creature never before used (I thin ..read more

RPG Designer for Dungeon Vault Magazine

Since early 2022 i have started a cooperation with Elven Tower and I have been submitting a few pretty innovative adventures that combine four critical aspects: 1. making a semi-permanent magic item that is specific to the adventure so that the pcs won’t be full of magic items and they lose their interest, rarity and value 2. offering stories that are fairy-tale-like (actually they are fairy tales of my own, I told my sons to put them to sleep!) with less violence and an aim to the story the background and the immersion 3. being system agnostic or freely adaptable to any system since I don’t o ..read more

I learnt about the new Beowulf – Age of heroes RPG in 2020 and decided to give it a try finding many new and intriguing facts and innovations from the OGL rules. Actually, I have been playing for a few months and I am delighted with how the game is turning. It is highly epic in nature, the story unfolding beautifully and my player is overly content with the experience. I have created an unofficial fb page where I upload material both from my campaign but also material to help others play and I had the chance to chat with mr Jon Hodgson and was delighted to learn that he had accepted my invitat ..read more

THE COVER/TRIBUTE BANDS AND THE FUTURE OF HEAVY METAL
Land of Oyr
by landofoyr

Heavy metal began as a genre with Black Sabbath back in 1970 (although this could be argued, but we will keep it as a token) fifty-two years ago. The giants of that time are now old men more than seventy (Ozzy and Iommi are seventy-four years old!) and many others are near that age, although many have died like Dio, Lemmy is among the most well-known. I must define what I call classic heavy metal bands before I continue. For me, they are the pioneers that formed most of the subgenres and they were formed in the 70s and 80s, bands like (besides Black Sabbath), Iron Maiden, ACDC, Manowar, Slayer ..read more

THE REVENGE OF THE BUCKTEETH

This was a story I wrote for a magazine that was never published. It had two basic axis one had to be in a historical concept based in northern Britain and islands north of Scotland and also be about Samhain the autumn festival of dark magic that is between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice, with fantasy elements. You can find more backstory for the characters in wiki links below Rogvald Sigurd Mael Brigte Mongfind stood in the front door of the cold meadhall of her lord and master watching the dark sea rising and falling. The northern wind of the Orkneys shook her clothes and ..read more
