So I traded my father a cast iron anvil with custom chiseled railroad tie stand, and chain hold down for this derelict unused piece of railroad track. I didn't initially want to waste to much metal so I started leveling the top by cutting with a chop saw. It was underpowered for the task. After much grinding and file drawing, I have it flatter than jokes that shouldn't be made of other people's chests. The chop saw left a terrible gouge and I'm wondering if it's possible to fix/work with. Please be easy on me, this is my first time attempting this. Hand-hammered canister came out great, so now I got this billet of BBs and 15n20 powder. It’s about 12oz of steel, what should I make with it? I’m thinking something choppy, maybe an impractical fantasy weapon…? any suggestions welcome.
