Hello!
I wanted to ask if anyone had recommendations for a custom piece or a reputable seller.
I have about a year to save up and prepare for my plan but I’m worried that I will have issues looking for what I want since I am not very knowledgeable about these things. My s/o is in his last year of his PharmD schooling and for his graduation I really want to get him a customized sword to commemorate and celebrate his hard work! My initial ideas are centered around his favorite animes, more specifically Bleach and Ichigos weapon (I haven’t decided which form yet).

Hi folks, UK based and I have an easy question regarding the wiring of what can best be described as an antique fan blower motor and controller. The wires from the plug were already connected as per the first image, the motor needs to be connected in and I presumed it was a case of pairing the earth's, connecting live to the back plate terminal (labelled A) and joining neutral to neutral.
However this just causes my electricity to trip out without the fan even spooling.
Is there an amateurish error I'm making or can somebody share a link to a guide on how to do this correctly?

Hello, I'm 14 and I'm new to blacksmithing. I know a fair bit, but I have no experience at all. I want to start soon, I have everything I need except for tongs, which I can get easily.
Any tips from some professionals you could spare to help a fella out.
Types of metal for what (high carbon or low carbon). How to make good handles? Anything.
Also is there a technique to quenching to avoid warps and cracks as much as possible? Like a certain temp or specific oil? Motor oil, chain oil, etc?
