Hi! I just wanted to get everyone’s opinion on how long it will take endurance to play pieces with most notes above middle C (concert Bb 4)? I’m aiming to play through several of such pieces in one sitting with minimal rests in between but my embochure can’t seemed to hold it together especially for the high notes after awhile. I have been integrating long notes for high notes from middle C to high A (just on top of staff) - always trying to hold 8 counts, 4 counts of rest, 8 counts, 4 counts of rest then 20counts. Hello! I just bought a large (standard?) shank flugelhorn to experiment on as I'm graduating from college and want to try higher brass after playing low brass for over 10 years. I am having a hard time finding a mouthpiece guide for flugelhorns as I'm trying to find a large mouthpiece that I would be comfortable on since I play on relatively large euphonium and bass trombone mouthpieces. Hi, I've been quite happily playing my Yamaha Vizzuti trumpet for a couple months. Best trumpet I've had so far. I thought it had a 3rd valve slide stopper built in, just like other trumpet. But today I realised that the stopper doesn't reach the slide. Don't worry, it fell on a carpet. And yes, it's screwed all the way in. I'm now wondering... is it just for show? Am I meant to put a rubber thingy on the other protuding bit on the left side of the valve?
