Hi there, attached is a clip from the UEFA RAP 2024-1 E1 sample. Blue and while are contending for a ball in the air. The recommended decision is a yellow card for being reckless. However, I am confused which side it is awarded.
It looks to me there could be 2 interperations, both leading to a YC to either side:
Interp 1: White player jumped at blue player and his arm hit blue player's face, thus considered reckless.
Interp 2: White player properly jumped for the ball while...

Hi All,
Just picked up the whistle and cards again after a couple years out due to wanting to play again and work commitments. I've decided that I want to try push myself as high as I can with officating.
With that being said, what tips do people have for their journey through the Levels starting at 7?

Had this a few weeks ago and been thinking about it ever since. Any advice greatly appreciated as always!
A feisty game between two evenly matched sides next to each other in the league. The GK has been throwing verbals at the opposition forward all game and midway through the second half picks up the ball in the box, starts running to the edge and blatantly bodychecks the attacker on the way through. And I mean went out of his way, dipped his shoulder and barged right through the attacker...

Can I ask about where subs (in bibs) are allowed to warm-up and stand?
Rules seem to state to the left of the AR.
Recent game where the opposing subs stood behind the goal line, but not that near the goal. (10m away). Are they interfering with the goal keeper if behind the goal line at all? Should they always be on the touch line ..read more

We had this question pop up on our monthly LOTG tests for L4's and I'm interested in others opinions.
The FA are adamant it should be a caution for unsporting conduct but I don't see how this is support able with the way the laws are written.
My view is that Law 8.2 states the dropball should be retaken if anyone touches it before it hits the ground. There is no mention of a caution.
As you can't commit a handling offence when the ball isn't in play I don't see how the use of hands can...

Hi all
Couple of incidents I think I could have dealt with better. 1st one is time wasting, away team 1 up and the underdogs going from league position and the keeper was walking to retrieve the ball then walking back, then selecting where he was putting ball down, I asked him to speed it up 2 or 3 times but felt afterwards a caution might have been needed, for the game and for both teams to show I was aware of it.
2nd, game everyone was walking off and one lad looked directly at me and...
