Hey friends!   It's the end of January. If you set New Year's resolutions, how are they coming along?   I didn't set any, but I did choose my one word for 2018. I posted about it in my Christian Lady Entrepreneurs Facebook group.   I've been interested in personal development ever since I was a teenager.   I was the girl who bought books about dating and marriage to be the best version of myself I could be (at the time)- yes even before I was technically an adult. I bought a 10 (or so)-step book to attract your husband (or something like that- I wish I could remember the au ..read more

Happy New Year! I hope you had an amazing Christmas, celebrating the birth of Jesus! It's all about Him!   Onto 2018! Are you excited or nervous?   A recent client of mine impressed me SO much when she signed up to work with me as her business coach. In November when she was on her free discovery call with me (a call where we get to know each other and find out if we'd be a good fit to work together), she said, "I don't want to wait until January in the new year to start building my business. I want to start now!"   YES! This girl has GOT it!!! She wanted to take action and not ..read more

It's the end of the year so I'm reflecting on all that happened this year. 2017 has been a year of growth and change!   Recently, on my Facebook business page, I did a Live video on 3 Ways to End 2017 a Different Person than When You Started It.   Here's a recap of some practical ways to do that so you can move forward and impact people with your business and life:   1. Work on your relationship with God. Read the Bible. Listen to the YouVersion Bible app. Find a Bible study to go to Listen to worship music. Find an older woman who can mentor you in the things of God (see ..read more

Since starting my business in 2015, I've had the pleasure of meeting and working with so many amazing clients from all over the world. As incredible as it is to work from home, my family is my "why." God and my family have to be my first priority of course.   I was pregnant with our last baby this past year, and I had her in April of 2017! It was a wonderful pregnancy and water birth experience (yes, my third home birth!) but it was also bittersweet, knowing it would be my last time to hold my own newborn, cuddle her, and realizing my kids would never be this young again.   Instead o ..read more

Hey friends! I’ve got 3 exciting things to share with you today!   Number 1   Today is my birthday! Even though I’m 28 now, I have to admit there is still a little excitement for my birthday each year! I’m not one of those women who plans on hiding her age even as I get older.   With each year, I would hope that I’m growing in faith, knowledge, skills, and success. This past year, I’ve definitely done each of those so all in all, I’m embracing what 28 has in store for me!   Number 2   Over the past couple of years, I’ve had numerous ladies message me and ema ..read more

*My home birth video is at the end of this post. (Video does not contain graphic content- only labor scenes and scenes from right after delivery.) Scroll down to watch! My labor with my first child, Ryker, started on the evening of Wednesday, May 18, 2011. I was already two weeks and one day past my due date, May 4th! My husband was off work because he had 2nd and 3rd degree burns from welding at work so he was home with me. Otherwise, he would have still been out of town on a crew that was finishing up a job every Monday through Saturday, and I would have been by myself. T ..read more

Ever since my oldest child was a baby, we've had a flexible daily routine. I read the book Babywise when I was pregnant with him. I didn’t implement every single piece of advice in that book, but I did use the advice and modify some parts to suit my parenting style and priorities. I highly recommend the book for parents who have the ability to read, take the good, use it, and adjust accordingly. It's probably not for parents who are unable to discern when to trust their instincts vs. being rigid and only "by the book" (literally).   Part of our routine (notice I wrote ..read more

One-Year Online Business Update

It's been a great year! Most people write a yearly summary at the end of December. However, my journey didn't start at the end of the year. It started a day before my son's birthday last year, May 2015. I felt guilty for purchasing an online business course (Virtual Miss Friday's Shoestring, VA Apprentice, and VA Rockstar bundle), even though my husband told me to go for it, when I could have put that money toward another present for our son's birthday. Of course he already had plenty of presents we had bought for him. But spending money on myself on something I could either succeed ..read more

Your business is growing. You need someone to support you, and you know that you should start looking for someone who can free up your time- soon. Finding and choosing the right person to bring onto your team is a job in itself. When most people start out looking for a new team member for outsourcing, the biggest mistake they make is to look for someone with the skills to do the job they need done. Here is something to consider: Don't look for someone with skills first. "What? That makes no sense." But wait! What if you find someone with the skills you need, but then t ..read more

In-Demand Virtual Assistant Services

It is quite hard for some people to grasp what exactly it is that I do as a virtual assistant. With online business more prevalent than ever, entrepreneurs are needing virtual assistants to support their websites, e-mail marketing, blogs, social media, and more. When you are an online business owner, there is an endless cycle of work. Kind of like laundry. You think you are finally caught up. Then suddenly, more clothes appear. Here are just some of the projects that never actually end: With websites come landing page creation, integration, split testing, and updating. With soc ..read more
