Yuvarathnaa Kannada Movie Review
Retrospect, On My Take!

An extended Version of Raajakumara where the hero raise against all the odds and it’s an energetic entertaining movie with a Social Message. Social Concern oriented film ain’t new to us, but most of the movies don’t strike the right cord, they just simply fall flat and gets lost in the process of delivering the “Message” to the audience by neglecting the screenplay. And I’m glad that Yuvarathnaa doesn’t fall under this category, instead the film conveys its message plus manages to keep you entertained throughout. Santhosh Ananddram is a man who believes that the screenplay is the main strength ..read more

Roberrt Kannada Movie Review
Retrospect, On My Take!
by Bhargavi Chandrashekar

Excessive length and a thin storyline, which of course has nothing new to offer makes the Roberrt wishy-washy affair. Although the movie reminds you of Theri, Indra, Vedalam and few more, the core or the template is from Rajnikanth’s Baashha. It’s been more than 25 years since Baashha came and yet we are today still relying on the same old story template. It’s high time we switch to some experimental or more of conent oriented subject instead of glorifying the hero with punch dialogues and action packed mass scenes. Sudhakar S Raj’s cinematography, K M Prakash’s editing & the art directio ..read more

Hero is Bloody Entertaining When you and I were growing our bellies in the lockdown, Rishab Shetty & team had come up with this fantastic movie called “Hero” (Not E Row, the ticket counter lady misheard that I’m saying E Row, In fact everyone with whom I spoke today were asking me which is this film? Soorarai Pottru isn’t just a 149mins long movie instead it’s a by-product of a Decade long dedication of Sudha Kongara. “It was brilliant but It wasn’t brilliant enough” that’s the statement made by the director Sudha after seeing Suriya’s performance. Of course she has to bring out the best from the actors, this movie is a dream project, which she had worked for a decade long. And to make this happen each and every character in this movie gave their best. Can you believe this movie had 63 primary characters! This is one of the best movie in the recent times which had a perfect ensemble cast w ..read more

Little Women (2019) Movie Review
Retrospect, On My Take!

Greta Gerwig’s New take on Little Women is well acted, well directed and well put together. This adaptation is so perfect with a few negligible flaws. The movie follows the achronological narrative which is a right and an unique way to tell a story like this. The interplay between the past & present and between why things “were” and “are” really structures and roots the story. The writing is so evocative and it plays smartly the autobiographical elements emphasizing the connection between Jo and Alcott. More impressively Grewig studied her source Author Louisa May Alcott, who felt far ..read more
