Long time, no text. I’m in a process of rethinking what this blog should be and where do we go from here…  I stopped hunting for motorcycles for publishing actively… Went for a winter sleep, as the motorcycle season ended. And woke up in different reality… But contemplating my online presence, during the coronavirus social distancing – doesn’t mean that I should overlook a motorcycle built by a friend. I know Krystian thanks to a common passion for custom motorcycles. We ride together in Warsaw. We both started as Cafe Racer enthusiasts. Now gravitating towards more offroad riding, while ..read more

Honda XR250 “Aggressor 1” by Lucky Custom

Lucky Custom is a brand that was already featured on this blog. Twice… This tells something. You just can’t overlook their build when “scrolling”  through the photos of custom bikes. They do have a unique style and a special feel to their builds. Aggressive colours. Attention to details. They are fond of good looking tires. They do stand out. A lot… This build is another level of crazy It started as a small Honda XR250. And ended up as a complete blend of styles. The classic tank and seat, don’t actually meet. This is quite painful to look at if You imagine what happens with the riders jewels ..read more

Oh man, how special this build is.  Cafe Racer genre reinvented by choosing the exotic and rare donor bike – Husqvarna Vitpilen 701. A motorcycle that is only 2 years old (as from its premiere on the market). A motorcycle revolutionary by its design. A full-blown performance upgrade not only by using super-light materials but also unique performance parts. This build is a modern incarnation of Cafe Racer meaning And what’s more – it was built for a young F1 Ferrari driver – Charles Leclerc. And that’s not the end of the trivia here. This motorcycle comes as a DIY kit. Located in France, Bad W ..read more

Top 5 Custom Motorcycles of 2019

End of year is near… time to summarize 2019. Few general comments though. First of all – yes, I was a little lazy this year. I managed to create only about half of the posts made in 2018. On my defence I have that most of the texts were more present, more unique bikes were sent to me rather than I searched for in the archives of the internet. I appreciate this way of creating content, that is somehow exclusive. I think that a number of Polish builds also increased (despite a smaller total of posts). On the downside – I wrote way less historical texts and created less list/ranking type of posts ..read more

BMW K1200RS by Ugly Motors

BMW K1200RS is not the first choice when You think about building a custom motorcycle. Well… Probably it’s not even in the top 50 donor bike models. This build comes with a story… about cooperation. Cooperation fueled by opposite styles and characters. About quite an accidental choice of a motorcycle model to customize, that caused the build to be more difficult than anticipated. But considering the brave and unique result – it was worth it. I had a chance to see this motorcycle in March 2018 and 2019, when it was displayed on the Warsaw Motorcycle Show. It was a “work in progress” then.. bot ..read more

Royal Enfield Bullet by Watchmaker Motorcycle

Royal Enfield is not what it used to be today. It lost most of its heritage and recognition through the years, by almost completely disappearing. But it is quite alive in Asia (especially India). And it seems like they are planning a comeback. I wish them well… But this build is not about them returning on the streets and roads of Europe. They sold almost 1 million motorcycles in 2018… And probably less than 3% of this amount in EU. This build is about an original Royal Endfield Bullet from 1986. Alain Glauser decided to build this custom bike for a friend Yes, it was brought back from India ..read more

Honda NX650 Dominator by LLMotorcycles

I like a build with a story when You can reflect the manhours spent in the garage with every detail made and modification applied to the machine. But this is going to be short and accurate. Just like the conversation I had with the builder. I usually tend to get as much of tasty info about the build as possible. This time it wasn’t the case. When asked about “Why the style?”… The answer was: “NX650 is a lightweight offroader – so a scrambler was a natural choice”. I knew that this is just the type of builder that gets to the point. LL Motorcycles are located in the heart of Kaszubia Region ..read more

Honda CB750 “B’Old or New” by M.O.M.

Someone who built a custom motorcycle… once said that “It’s not the donor bike that makes a custom, but a builder”. Wise man… The Honda CB is one of the most popular motorcycles in the world. It is also quite often modified… The custom scene seems a little overloaded with many “copies” of cafe racer style applied to it. I know that with this many people working on projects they might even get boring. But You need to search for details, and small differences then. Some people are not ok with just building a cafe racer like any other. They fabricate, modify, throw away and repeat… until they fi ..read more
