Bushcraft in Arctic Sweden (The Hot Tent)
When you are camping outdoors in the colder winter months a top priority is maintaining your core temperature and keeping yourself warm. In my opinion There is no better way of doing this than using a heated tent. Of course the adventure you are on at the time will dictate the type of equipment you can carry and effectively use, but when the circumstances suit I know my first choice for cold weather camping would be the Hot tent

Looking back on old photos of the start of this journey was a great way to help me remember some of the finer detail about the early years. In the beginning it was just me, running around doing everything on my own and not having ..read more

Originally scheduled for May, it was pushed back to August by the current state of things, and despite difficult weather conditions the course participants all managed to leave with their own piece of buckskin, and more importantly, the knowledge to go away and make more.
On day one, the course participants were shown and talked through the process of skinning a roe deer in such a way as to minimise damage to the hide ..read more

There is something both satisfying and rewarding in being able to find direction accurately and quickly without the use of a compass, gps or any other modern technology. We have also covered a range of related issues such as planning for adventures and what to do when things go wrong either on the hill or in remote areas.
