I know it’s been a while since I’ve last written a blog post. Forgive me? To get back into the swing of things (no pun intended), I attended a fun Rogers Cup event today at the Aviva Centre. It was the perfect event for me, seeing as I’ve been a loyal tennis fan since 1990!! Here I am on Centre Court which is definitely not an everyday experience for me!! I found out that 19 out of the top 20 seeds will be playing at this years tournament which takes place from Aug 6 – 12th at Aviva Centre, York University. One of those top seeds is Milos Raonic who was practicing on Centre Court. (squeal ..read more

Israel turned 70 this year and I’m going to celebrate by attending a few events this week! Here’s the three experiences that are on my radar: 1 . The Toronto Jewish Film Festival is taking place from May 3 to 12 and of course I’ve spent time studying the festival guide to make my selections and trust me this takes a bit of time! However due to the bad weather last weekend, I watched plenty of video clips and made my selections! Cool fact: one of the films being shown at this years festival (Doubtful) is currently in theatres in Israel. Also, don’t delay to buy your tickets. I tried to get into ..read more

A few weeks ago I celebrated my birthday. I never use to make a big deal out of my birthday but lately I’ve really been embracing it. I mean “why not”, right? In previous years, I’ve travelled (click here to read more)  or threw a big party (click here to read more). This  year, I took the day off (which I’ve never done before but know lots of people who practice this tradition) and started to celebrate my birthday a week in advance!! Here’s the details: a) I went to a Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa  to have a much needed facial. For me, this is a real treat and a ..read more

Travel Review: Costa Rica

Seeing as it’s suppose to be Spring but its crazy miserable outside, I decided it would be a good time to reflect about our trip to Costa Rica that we took in January. Nothing beats looking at photos of the beach and blue skies while its freezing rain outside and -1C  with strong winds, on April 15th, right?   While planning our trip to Costa Rica we decided to do it all …Beach, Cloud Forest and Rain Forest! This meant that we needed time and a car. So we took 12 days to visit Nosara (beach town), Cloud Forest (Monteverde) and the Rain Forest (La Fortuna). We were a little nervous t ..read more

Disclosure: I’ve been provided with complimentary accommodation in exchange for this blog post however all opinions are my own. Here’s a little list of where I’ve been lately: In August I took a wonderful road trip to Montreal and to the Laurentian Mountains.  It was a week full of food and relaxation. At the end of August I went to London, England for two days to attend a fabulous family wedding but I also managed to do squeeze in some sightseeing. From London, I travelled to Israel to hang out on the beach, eat as much shakshuka as I could and visit family and friends. In Janu ..read more

I’ve been spending some time lurking on Pinterest trying to find unique ideas for this years Passover menu. Of course, I spent some time trying to figure out what my centre pieces are going to look like too. Here’s what I’m thinking. Which one do you prefer? Idea #1…so simple, yet so pretty Idea #2….Love this idea Idea #3…I actually have a chalkboard runner to use as the “seder plate” and love the idea of using empty egg shells as a vase! How cute? As for the menu, here’s what I’m planning on serving. Warning: this is not a traditional Passover menu at all but I’m ok with that and I hope my ..read more

The last few months have involved quite a bit of travelling but I’m not complaining. I really do love to travel. One could say its a priority for me. For example, my second hand car that I purchased in 2012 has really had its day but I rather travel than buy a another car. See what I mean? Just last week I returned from Athens and Crete. My schedule looked like this: eat, sleep and shop!! Again, I’m not complaining. It was exactly what we needed. I made my reservations to stay in Hotel Lozenge with Booking.Com. I’ve been a fan of this website since I was introduced to it in 2015 at a Trav ..read more

Lately I’ve been going to yoga every Monday night at The Rock Store.  However I received an invitation to attend a Chocolate Cocktail event at Cafe CanCan (89 Harbord St) and it was no brainer to skip yoga that night. Each cocktail featured Green & Black’s premium chocolate and I loved each one. It would actually be difficult for me to pick a favourite!! These  unique chocolate cocktails are being served at both Cafe CanCan and PianoPiano (89 Harbord St) for a limited time only!! ( from Dec 5-21, 2017). However if you would like to make one of these cocktails at home ..read more

I’ve got a confession to make. See this track? See this pool? Sadly whenever I need to count laps I’m simply UNABLE to keep track. Each time I get out there I really do try and each time I fail.  However, EPSON has solved my problems.  They’ve  introduced a line of watches (5 models to be exact) that help me out with this problem … and more! There’s 2 GPS Running Watches and 3 Multisport watches that were launched in early November and I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak. Specifically the watch that I want to blog about today is the EPSON ProSense 307. Here’s why t ..read more
