The Autumn/Winter Style Edit
Rue Rodier

There’s something about the change of seasons that always gives me this sense of renewal and starting over, especially autumn with its back to school vibes and then as the season starts to turn colder - this morning felt particularly chilly, so I finally pulled out my winter coat - I go through a new phase and start craving slippers, wooly knits and time curled up on the sofa with a Harry Potter film and a hot drink. And although I’m definitely a summer’s child at heart, I do love wrapping myself in layers come winter; there’s something so comforting about enveloping yourself in a big coat an ..read more

A weekend in Lake Como: a visual diary
Rue Rodier
by Marissa Cox
6M ago
This past weekend, we were lucky enough to spend a couple of nights in Lake Como at the magical Villa Làrio. I don’t like to name favourites, but this place was particularly special and by far one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in, in terms of location, views, interiors and dining experience. It was a dream to spend the weekend strolling along the shores of Lake Como and relaxing at the property - see the orange deck chairs on the pier. We also had a bit of time to explore the lake and took the ferry on Sunday morning to the nearby town of Cernobbio for a coffee and then back to our ..read more

At home with India Cardona in West London
Rue Rodier
by Marissa Cox

India Cardona had an unlikely start into the fashion and interiors world; she studied economics at Exeter university and her first job was as a strategy analyst for Accenture in London. But an interest in fashion led her to work for RewardStyle as an account manager where she climbed the ranks to Head of Partnerships. Alongside her day job, her natural eye for aesthetics and photography drew her into the realm of content creation, first sharing her outfits and then her interiors projects. She began collaborating with interiors and fashion brands alike, and at the beginning of 2023 she left he ..read more

Style Edit: Summer Tailoring
Rue Rodier
by Marissa Cox

I love a tailored piece, with my slightly oversized black blazer being the most hardworking item I wear as I sport it in summer and winter. I also have a penchant for tailored trousers, which look great with a casual tee and sandals for an easy look that’s also elegant. And then there’s the waistcoat that I’ve been donning for a while now that has been rapidly making a comeback in recent years. So here’s a short, but sweet round-up of my favorite tailored pieces available to buy now. Tailoring Edit ..read more

Interior Inspiration: a family home turned painting retreat in the rolling Tuscan hills
Rue Rodier
by Marissa Cox

Villa Arniano, a traditional 18th century stone-and-brick farmhouse outside Montalcino, in Tuscany, had seen better days when newlyweds Jasper and Camilla Guinness purchased it in the mid-1980s. The grounds were barren, and the house lacked even basic utilities. Luckily for the future of the estate, the couple saw potential in its high ceilings, spacious interiors, and views over the Tuscan hillsides, and they got to work transforming the property into the inviting family escape it is today. For Camilla, one could say that the creative spirit needed to take on this sort of endeavor runs in he ..read more

Style Edit: Summer Stripes
Rue Rodier
by Marissa Cox

Stripes have been a wardrobe staple for me as long as I can remember. The humble striped tee or the Breton top as it is better known in fashion, is just so versatile - it goes with everything, even with more stripes. I love having a few key striped pieces in my seasonal wardrobe - I have striped shirts that I use as cover-ups during summer by the pool, or I wear them on their own during warmer spring days, untucked with a pair of wider legged white jeans or chinos. There’s something so effortless about this look that makes it looks very put together, even though it is in fact so easy to wear ..read more

Interior Inspiration: rustic materials and wall murals bring this centuries-old Provençal house back to life
Rue Rodier
by Marissa Cox

As was the case for so many of us, Covid-era confinements had the owners of this sprawling historic Luberon property spending more time at home and reconsidering how they used their living space.  Practically, they found they needed more spaces to work, and although the house had been renovated by renowned Provençal architect Alexandre Lafourcade only a decade prior, the owners felt that for them something was missing from the spirit of the home, so they called on Paris-based Peruvian designer Diego Delgado-Elias to transform their already beautiful farmhouse into a warm, inviting dream ..read more

Interior Inspiration: an elegantly restored 18th century Provençal stone house in Luberon
Rue Rodier
by Marissa Cox

Who doesn’t love a good renovation story?  There is something so deeply satisfying about seeing a property skillfully restored to its full potential, a metamorphosis not unlike witnessing a sculptor reveal the form of his sculpture from within a block of marble: once the work is finished, it’s as if the result were inevitable, and one can hardly imagine that the finished piece had ever been anything but a work of art. Such is the case with this understatedly elegant 18th century Provençal stone home in the Luberon region of France between Aix-en-Provence and Avignon.  The region, kn ..read more

Style Edit: the best swimwear pieces for the beach or pool
Rue Rodier

Now that it’s officially summer, my mind is drifting towards our upcoming holiday in the south of France. I feel incredibly lucky to have the beauty of this part of the country on my doorstep and so we are repeating almost the same itinerary that we organised two years ago, as it was so enjoyable. And, as I said to Victor, while we were contemplating what to do this summer, we now have a car so we might as well use it! Plus I love a road trip, and after all the organizing I did for Egypt (like a part-time job for two months), I wanted to do something simple, already tried and tested and enjoy ..read more
