The Smokehouse Creek Fire—now the largest in Texas’s history—is wreaking havoc in the Panhandle. The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) is deploying to Hutchinson County, which is mourning the tragic death of 83-year-old Joyce Blankenship—who was killed as her home burned to the ground. “The house was gone,” her grandson, Nathan Blankenship, told a news outlet. “There was no way she could’ve gotten out.” Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued a disaster declaration for 60 counties. More than one million acres of land in Texas and Oklahoma have been burned since the fire began on February 26 ..read more

Camilla* came with a friend to Eagle Pass, Texas, on Wednesday night from nearby Crystal City. Both were looking for a change in their lives. When Franklin Graham gave an invitation at the fourth stop of the God Loves You Frontera Tour to pray for forgiveness and receive salvation through Jesus Christ, the two were among the first to reach the area in front of the stage. Tears streamed down Camilla’s face as she talked about her decision to follow Jesus. “I guess it was the Holy Spirit,” she said. “I feel good in my heart—and in my spirit.” Camilla has gone to church and studied the Bible, but ..read more

How are you spiritually preparing your children for life in college—and beyond? On her latest Fearless podcast episode, Cissie Graham Lynch spoke with apologist Frank Turek about how parents can set their kids up for success when it comes to standing strong for Jesus Christ. “We need to put them on the offense so they’re not on the defense all the time,” Cissie said. “We need to prepare them and strengthen them.” Our kids need to be raised to know what they believe—and why they believe it, she added. “Most people today are not on a truth quest, they’re on a happiness quest,” Turek observed. As the Texas sun was setting over Brownsville Saturday night, Franklin Graham had one simple question for the large crowd gathered at the opening of the 10-stop God Loves You Frontera Tour. “Are your sins forgiven?” he asked the 3,800 people in the crowd. “If you choose Christ tonight, your sins will be forgiven.” Hundreds stood all over Brownsville Sports Park, including Natalie,* a young mother who left her 1-year-old with a sitter to come to the Frontera Tour. But she still had her doubts. Not Too Far Gone  “What is holding you back from coming to Jesus?” prayer counselor Karina Rodrig ..read more
