Once we’d decided on the outline for what we were then calling ‘The Stalker Film for DAVSS’ (which we now just call “The Monster”), the next stage was the storyboard. It was important to create a sense of tension in the audience – and a feeling of protectiveness for the woman at the heart of the film. We did this with simple, relatable character design and a recognisable setting, but then showing through her actions that this woman is not comfortable – her keys poke out from between her fingers, her eyes dart back and forth across the path. She is expecting something bad to happen. Something b ..read more

Following on from the success of our recent film The Mouse for Voicing CSA, we were keen to find another opportunity to create a film that gave us a similar warm feeling of having done ‘a good thing’ in this crazy, crazy world. When Producer Joe Whelski got in touch from the excellent charity DAVSS (Domestic Abuse Volunteer Support Service), which supports victims of Domestic Abuse, we thought we might have found the right project. When he mentioned that he was going to get the 7th incarnation of Dr Who (and Radagast the Brown) Sylvester McCoy to voice the film, we knew for sure. Sylvester Mc ..read more

Our recent training animation, for the Video Standards Council, was created to demonstrate when a DVD/games shop salesperson would find it necessary to ask to see ID, what types of ID were acceptable, and why this is so important. We wanted to create a tongue in cheek animation, that appealed to the target audience of 18-30 year olds who would be likely to work selling DVDs and games – ie. pop culture nerds. So, after watching ‘Clerks‘ a few times to research what it might be like to work in such a store, we got to work creating the following animation: We structured the film around two disti ..read more
