Hi,
I am looking to buy a new pair of skis mainly focused on piste skiing/ carving. But would also like to ski moguls and off piste terrain occasionally. I already own a pair of Volkl Revolt 104. I am choosing between the Volkl Peregrine V Werks and Peregrine 84s. Right now I’m leaning more towards the V Werks. But worry that they would be too stiff to do any moguls.
Skill level wise; I can ski blacks relatively comfortably, and am starting to make good progress in carving. I was wondering which one I should get and what the differences between the two are?
Thanks!

Hey all looking for some first ski recommendations. I’m a 24 year old male. 5’10 230lbs. I finished my second season skiing in Wisconsin and wanted to invest in some skis for next winter. I’m confident going down any Midwest blue runs and went down a few blacks my last day out. I can make parallel turns pretty sharp, at least sharp enough to go down an iced over black run at Granite Peak. I will be skiing exclusively groomed runs around here and want to make a trip out west maybe once a year once I improve some more. The only ski I’ve tried is Rossignol Exp 78 158cm. Those are what I’ve rente ..read more

I've been skiing for about 10 years and have had two pairs of decent boots, off the shelf from REI. I really want to invest in the next pair and get them properly fit to help me continue improving at the sport! I live in Jersey City and hoping to hear what your recommendations are for a boot fitter in either NYC or New Jersey. I appreciate your recommendations!

When I bought new Technica boots this year (fitted by a ski shop) I got a black toenail on one foot. Heatmolded the boots at the shop after 6 days out, tried to open the toe box up and added some heel pads. Didn't get better. Fearing I'll have to get rid of these now. Please tell me there is a reason/solution

Found a screaming deal on a set of new K2 Mindbender BOAs. Seller had them listed as Mindbender 110 BOAs but upon delivery, they turned out to actually be 130s. I'm an intermediate skier. Skied a lot growing up but only recently got back into the sport in my mid 40s. I ski about 10-12 times a year, mostly blue trails at catskill/berkshires area resorts. 5'11, 190# if that makes a difference.
Given how stiff/aggressive 130 boots are supposed to be, am i better flipping these and switching to a softer boot as I had planned initially or do you think these could work for my situation? TIA.

Hi all, I’ve been skiing with a one ski quiver (Black Ops 98) for the last few years and am looking to purchase another ski. I was planning on adding a powder ski, but I’m now moving to eastern Colorado from the Sierra and think maybe I should actually buy a better ski for hard pack? I’d love to take advantage of all the deals right now, but am not sure what to buy.
