I took a 60 day digital detox, found peace and this is what I learned! Life is governed by your terms, not the terms of who you follow or what you see posted. To start with the basics I grew up caring about each and every single person’s opinion. Whether I was being praised, gossiped about or ignored – I cared. This set me up for failure as I unintentionally grew a social media platform and later found myself constantly “checking Instagram comments to crowd source my self esteem.” Falling into the same trap? I traveled to Bermuda for a long weekend wedding and to my surprise I was taken back to the basics! The Winter to Spring transition is by far my favorite, when you get a chance to merge two styles of dress and make them one. This is also a perfect time for some Spring cleaning, packing away things that you don’t need and donating some for others to love. Both a fashion and lifestyle post, check out ways to not only honor the change in ..read more

As I continue building and expanding my site I’ve decided to take on the challenge of being more open about those “dark days” that we all have. Running what some may call a social media brand (it has become quite easy to just post pretty pictures with meaningless captions and avoid talking about real life. We have gotten to a point where it needs to be understood that “life is not just a highlight reel, life is real!” I stated this one day when talking to my friends about sharing using my platform, starting with more vulnerable posts on my personal facebook page about overcoming trials and tri ..read more
