Wakeland Housing and Development Corporation, a leader in the creation and operation of affordable housing in California, has selected KCM Group as construction manager for its newest affordable housing community in San Diego’s Grantville neighborhood. This is the fifth time the two companies have partnered on an affordable housing construction project. Two new affordable apartment projects have opened — one in downtown San Diego and one in Otay Mesa.  The Beacon at 1425 C St. in East Village has 43 studio apartments. KCM Group recently completed this gorgeous project in Southern California. At nearly 10,000 square feet, this two-story custom home over a full basement incorporates a large rooftop solar system with batter storage to power the 5-bedroom, 5-bath home.
