Pam and Yves’s wedding was an ode to love. With a touching tea ceremony, original vows, and friends and family that were eager to celebrate the couple, all the elements came together to create a beautiful, memorable day. But it wasn’t a smooth road to get there! In what can only be described as a wedding planner’s nightmare (that is before I had experienced a pandemic!), I received a call from my couple’s wedding venue letting me know that they had been served a strike notice. This was 48 hours before the wedding. Before I reached out to Pam and Yves to let them know what was happening, I want ..read more

KEIRA & RAYMOND’S ART DECO JUNGLE

We love it when our couples step out of the box with their wedding—Keira and Ray did that and more.  Picture it: a moody urban jungle with flashes of lush greens, oranges, and reds set against a velvety dark background with gold accents. This half art deco, half tropical theme was inspired by the couple’s trip to Singapore. With it, our lead planner Aurora Krenus, transformed the ballroom at the Fairmont Pacific Rim into a magical space filled with monsteras, palms, and bright florals from Flowerz. And we didn’t take a minimalistic approach, either. There were two (yes, two!) flower walls ..read more

Wedding Photography by Blush Wedding Photography At the end of our last post, Nina and Martin’s guests had just hopped back onto the shuttles after the beautiful Pemberton wedding ceremony and they were headed towards yet another secret location. This time, after winding their way along a tree-lined road and passing through a beautiful large black gate, they arrived at Riverlands Equestrian Centre.  Riverlands is a place that carries a lot of meaning for Nina, as her horse Coco lives there and Nina spends many hours every week riding there. Wedding Photography by Blush Wedding Photography When Nina and Martin’s guests all got to know each other at their welcome party the evening before the wedding, they had no idea what to expect the next day. All they really knew was that they had to be in the lobby of the Pemberton Valley Lodge by 1:45 pm to board a shuttle that would take them to the undisclosed ceremony site. As they all gathered with excitement and shared their suspicions for what was to come, it was clear that they were in for something special.  Nina and Martin’s big day, which had been shrouded in mystery for ov ..read more

Wedding Photography by Blush Wedding Photography To say I’m excited to share this wedding with you would be a huge understatement. Nina and Martin’s special day was one for the books (and Wedluxe!). First, they would host it in one of their favourite places: Pemberton. Second ..read more

Choosing a place to elope in Vancouver can be tough—there are just so many great options! Our city’s unique combination of beautiful outdoor spaces and landmark buildings means that there’s a location to match every style. Over the last year, we’ve seen many of our couples choose to elope and keep their wedding small instead of postponing to a later date. And as a result, many locations in the city that haven’t been available for weddings before are now opening their doors as creative solutions for couples looking for that special somewhere.  In this post, we’ve collected some of our favo ..read more

A wedding is made up of a series of key moments. There’s the moment the couple catches a glimpse of each other for the first time. Those precious seconds when they say “I do”. The first dance. The final speech. I could go on and on.  But for wedding planners, there’s one more moment on that list that not many people know about: the reveal. After months of working together with our couples and hosts to make their vision a reality—creating mood boards, choosing the decor, preparing sample table settings—this is the day it all comes together. And so, as we’re planning out the event, w ..read more
