On the day of Sarah & Andrew's engagement session, a think fog unexpectedly moved into the city. We originally wanted a sunny day, but the fog was too cool to pass up. I'm so happy we did it and went out there to catch this unique moment. It was my first time photographing in Pacific Spirit Park, but definitely not the last!   ..read more

I met Rinko and Kevin just as they were about leave Vancouver and embark on a long distance relationship. They called me up the week that they were leaving and we managed to put together a shoot which was going to happen rain or shine; fortunately, it was the latter. For their portrait session, we hung out in Olympic Village to get a view that's decidedly Vancouver.   ..read more

Kami & Scott - White Rock Wedding

Kami & Scott tied the knot this past summer in a cute little church in White Rock. Their reception was in a gorgeous private home overlooking the ocean. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they danced the night away on the terrace while Scott serenaded everyone with a song that he wrote himself! I absolutely love photographing small and intimate weddings—they feel so relaxed and you really get the time to get up close with everyone.   ..read more

I love winter weddings. There's an extra special feeling when there's a chill in the air (the extra special feeling of being dry and not soaking through your suit or dress in the summer sun. Always a plus!). Congratulations to Tosha & Julius! It was such a pleasure working with you and spending the day with your lovely family and friends. All the best ..read more

Sam & Warren - Shaughnessy Restaurant Wedding

It’s always a treat whenever I get the chance to photograph a wedding at Shaughnessy Restaurant at VanDusen Garden. It doesn’t take much to make this place look awesome. Even if you don’t plan to do a lot for your decor, you’re pretty much guaranteed a stunning wedding surrounded by greenery and natural elements. Throw in some gorgeous florals like those by Thomas Hobbs and you’ve got one of my favourite venues in Vancouver. The indoor space gets some fantastic light at sunset - position your sweetheart table right by the window to get the best backlight at golden hour. On top of that ..read more

I’m so thrilled to show you guys this next wedding. I knew it was going to be a good one the moment I met Cynthia and Jonathan - super nice, easy going, just effortless. On top of that, they were getting married at Hart House! One of my favourite wedding venues in Vancouver to photograph. Their west facing lawn gets the best late afternoon light in the summer and so many great little portrait spots nearby. So happy to finally share this with you. Congrats C&J!      ..read more

Nothing beats a maternity session with former wedding couples—shooting is just so easy and comfortable—it's like catching up with old friends who are just beaming with joy and excitement.   I've grown up and spent most of my life here in BC. It's so easy to take for granted the natural beauty that surrounds us—we have the mountains to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and rain forests in any direction. Lately, I've been meeting more and more clients from overseas who make a trip out here to specifically shoot their pre-wedding photos—it really makes you stop and appreciate the awesomeness of this place and what a destination it's become. I absolutely love these epic sessions that have us shooting from one end of Greater Vancouver to the other. For Xenia & Herma ..read more

Here it is! My first international destination wedding! I'm so excited to finally share with you photos from Jadie & Jimmy's amazing week in Cuba. J&J got married on the beaches of Varadero, but we also had the opportunity to shoot a mini engagement session as we explored the streets of Havana. This was my first time in Cuba and I absolutely fell in love—it didn't hurt that I was also travelling with one of the nicest couples ever. J&J, thank you so much for this awesome opportunity. It was entirely my pleasure to be your photographer.         ..read more

Sophie & Eric - Whytecliff Park Pre-Wedding

I love pre-wedding sessions. They're a little more dressed up than your typical engagement session (sometimes couples will even wear their wedding day attire). The idea is that you get to do your wedding day portraits weeks or months beforehand when you're not stressed out and you get to shoot at the best time of day instead of shoehorning your portraits in between your ceremony and reception, when the light might not be at its best. For Sophie & Eric's pre-wedding session, we went out to the ever-popular Whytecliff Park and got one of the best sunsets in recent memor ..read more
