My name is Lynnlee. I am a passionate cat rescuer who has dedicated my life to caring for animals. I have 5 cats and 2 dogs that are my entire world. My love for animals began in childhood and has only grown stronger over the years. I am committed to TNR and providing a safe and loving environment for stray and feral cats. I have deep compassion and dedication towards rescue which has inspired others to support animal welfare and make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
I enjoy hiking, painting, reading, writing and rescuing animals most of all. I am actively involved in cat rescue ..read more

My name is Dan McCullor and I’ve been a volunteer with Wild Blue since December 2023. I’ve always loved cats and am grateful to have some time and the opportunity to volunteer at Wild Blue, helping to care for the ferals and barn cats (mostly feeding and cleaning) and jumping in for last-minute help when I can.
Originally from Western NY, I’ve been in Colorado since ’93. I’m married and have two daughters, 16 and 24, two large dogs and currently only one cat – all rescues, of course (volunteering curbs my urge to get more). I am an IT Support Engineer for a software company ..read more

Hello, we are the Hockett family. Our Wild Blue journey started, we think, in our oldest son’s (Jordan’s) sophomore year in high school (he’s now a sophomore in college) – although Nichole remembers a project Jordan did in middle school that initially introduced him to Wild Blue. Jordan started with socializing the cats – we think he has some sort of cat whispering ability. And well, since we love cats so much, Gary and Austin started helping with cat boxes (everyone’s favorite job, lol). With Nichole being allergic to cats, she found other ways to help by lending a ha ..read more

Hi my name is Meg Reed! I have been here at WBC for almost two years. I’m a lead in Kaylenes Kradle and when I can I help out by being a runner on clinic days! I have a cat, not from WB, she doesn’t like other cats or I’m sure I would have more. I’m a college student at Pike Peak State College, getting a degree in business and I hope someday in the future I can run my own cat sanctuary as I don’t plan to stay in the springs. I started at wild blue due to my friend Gia who works in Mayas, and I’m so glad she got me into this! I was able to bring some other new volunteers including my mom who w ..read more

Our journey with WildBlue started in December 2023, when our oldest son Lochlan decided to adopt his own cat with the money he had earned from pet sitting. He selected a sweet orange tabby – Zizia (now named Rose). She was later diagnosed with FIP, which introduced us to Lauri and her compassionate soul. Everyone at WB was so committed and supportive to helping us get our sweet Rose feeling like herself again, that we wanted to give back to the organization. We started with the Wednesday socialization team. A huge thank you to the medical team who lets Lochlan shadow them and help when possib ..read more

Meow! My name is Lumena! I am a cute female DSH Tortoiseshell kitten born approximately 10/20/23. I am playful and loving and a special kitty. I love tossing around toy mice and stuffed toys, and running around and climbing like all happy young kitties. I enjoy being held and pet too. My limited vision may have taken me down a different path, but I am just joyful and learning my way around like any other kitten growing up. My untreated eye infections earlier in my young life led to the loss of my right eye, but I’m thankful for the limited vision still ..read more

Hi, I’m Karen Samuel (Karen S on slack). I feel like I’m starting a kitten bio for an adoption fair, but no, this one’s about me. I grew up in and around Chicago, and moved west in the early 90’s. I arrived in Colorado Springs in ‘93. This is my home now. I can’t imagine living anywhere else, though when I’m on vacation, I sometimes think about what it would be like to live on a tropical island.
When I was 9, my Dad married his second wife, and I got a family with a cat for the first time. Spooky slept with me most nights, and then spent her day ..read more
