WTF is going on with my M6 Mkii

I was out shooting a few nights ago when my camera started acting a bit strange. I noticed that when I turn on the power switch, there was a lag in the camera actually starting up. I found myself pressing the shutter button several times before the screen came on. Also, at times after taking a photo and turning the camera off, I got a message about how the camera was saving the image and then it cuts off. I also noticed that the battery seems to drain now even when the camera is turned off. That's pretty frustrating. Any insight? Thanks in advance for any input. submitted by /u/MannyWallace ..read more

Canon 30D turns off when you press the shutter

I bought an old canon eos 30D. But when you press the shutter button it turns off. Has anyone else had the same? How did you solve the problem? The battery was 100% charged. The settings on the camera were reset. It turns on again when you open the battery compartment and put it back in again.. I ordered a new battery, but I don’t know if it will solve this problem... Hi all Im trying to figure this out without watching yet another 25 minute video that won‘t explain it… and google is not helping. If I connect an external mic to my R5 , will the camera record from it automatically? Any input appreciated. submitted by /u/Houderebaese [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Any tips/tricks for the Sigma 105-600 with R6?

I shoot wildlife. I’ve seen a lot of people talking about autofocus problems with this lens- I’ve definitely experienced it shooting birds when the autofocus loses the bird in flight and then I love the bird in the frame all together because it’s waiting for the autofocus :-). Just wondering if there are any tips or tricks that can be used for it. submitted by /u/nevershalleye [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I recently bought a Canon RP body and I am looking to buy lens either Canon RF 24-70 mm F2.8 L or Canon RF 28-70 mm F2 L but couldn’t find any deals at the moment. Is there any 3rd party lens which can used instead of the above lens? submitted by /u/Key_Swing_2275 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi Guys So i have a RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L lens and now id like to have more zoom. Would you recommend to buy the Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 or the RF 2x extender ? Is the extender even compatible with my lens ? Im shooting with an R6 ii. And as you can guess i do not have the money for the prime zoom lens… Thanks for the advice.! submitted by /u/Traumwanderin [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Went to Japan earlier in April, stumbled across this beauty of a 80-200mm F2.8L aka the magic drainpipe on my 2nd last day in Osaka. It was selling for abt 22k Yen which was an absolute steal for me since Ive been chasing this lens for awhile and usually sells for double where im from. Had a chance to use it while still in Japan, in Bangkok and Singapore. The subject isolation, paired with my R10 is just so nice and love the sharpness for such an old lens. Paired it with my dad's EOS 500N for the 3rd pic which was shot on some black and white film i got. Got to say despite the lack of mod ..read more
