 … googled. “What do an octopus eyes look like” ? LOL I know what a question!  The reason I ask is because one of my grandsons request for Christmas is …. You guessed an octopus!  … who will be 7 next week “announced “ that he was going to make biscuits ALL BY MYSELF! Slightly alarming, to say the least,,',,, however this was his result .. The learning curve was steep, and included the fact that when told it was a good idea to get them out … listening is a good idea ! lol However he did very well and wants to do more x So a win x While the oven was on I used it to make some sausage rolls… .. and now the slow cooker has a chicken casserole bubbling away ..  … to get into the garden today.However it is POURING with rain , so,, that is NOT happening! I have been in the garage and into the UFO pile….  ... May did not turn out as I thought it would x I spent most of this last month helping to care for my dad x He became ill and needed 24 hour attention. As a family we agreed with his wish to spend his last days at home, along with the GP and District Nurses we were able to make this happen x I like to think that he is now with my mum .. who was the love of his life x They met when she was 15, and he was 16 ,and, until she died 2 years ago they were ALWAYS together x He died (at the age of 92) the day before, what would have been her birthday .. and knowing her .. she came and got him x ..read more

 .. are settling in ,we have been moving some furniture around. My daughter has a table that she is no longer using ... so I have grabbed it for my bedside (MUCH better than the previous rather wonky one!) .. NOW, it is functional.. it is the right hight ... BUT, it is BORING! SO, I made a runner.. ... AND I used only stash fabric (shiny halo or what! lol) There are several options .. .. for which way to have it, and, if I fancy a change from the patchwork... I can use the "other" side..
