A big congratulations goes out this week to Mi Jung Hur  for winning the Indy Women In Tech championship. This one was no contest as Hur won it wire to wire. Her final score of 267 (21 under par) was five strokes better than runner-up Nanna Koerstz Madsen. For Hur it was her second victory this year and fourth of her career. This week the LPGA moves to the state of Texas for the playing of the Volunteers of America Classic. Many of my readers will probably remember (or want to forget) last year's fiasco where the tournament was shortened to just 36 holes because of inclement weather ..read more

Before I get started with this week's subject, I would like to give a big congratulations to Hannah Green for winning the Cambia Portland Classic. Hannah trailed Yealimi Noh by three strokes with just four holes to play, but won all of the remaining holes to win by one stroke. It was Green's second victory of the season. She won the KPMG Women's PGA Championship earlier in the year. With the LPGA taking a break this week, I think it's a good time to look at some of the key player statistics now that they have completed about 3/4 of the 2019 schedule.
