I have a bunch of yarn that is #4 in weight . What loom do I use for those ? To not create stitches that look full of holes ?

Posting in behalf of my mums friend. We don’t know why we are getting the diagonal holes? This seems to happen no matter what loom gauge and yarn weight. She made this kid sized beanie and now making an adult beanie and it’s happening again. Does anyone know why or any tips that I can forward onto her? I think it’s from the start but not sure how to fix this problem. Thank you :)

I am almost 100 rows in and ready for my colour and stitch change. What you see here is seed stitch, but I am changing colour soon to a nice beige cream type colour and I will be using sand stitch for the new colour.
My question - should I do a couple rows of garter or something to transition from seed to sand stitch? So this way each colour and their stitches stand out and dont just messy morph into each other? I was thinking I could do 1 Row knit, 1 Row purl in green then 1 Row knit and 1 Row purl in cream?

Finished in 2 days took less than 10 hours 110 rows made on KB green infinity loom only used 70 pegs. I forgot to take a full picture before I boxed it up. I don’t think it turned out to bad.

Has anyone been able to use the ice cream line of lion brand in a baby hat. It says that it is a number three. Most of the tutorials I’m looking at are for higher weight

Can I do this using 3/8 gauge? I don't have bulky yarn right now so I can't use my large gauge looms. I do however have plenty of solid colours that work for a 3/8 gauge - is it do-able with success?
