glass is from Agustina Bottoni. Over the weekend, I made the most delicious, prettiest glitter martinis and had to share the recipe (and also, where to buy edible glitter!) here. As background, Tanqueray and Palm Royale (the show!) sent me a little cocktail kit. There was no obligation to post but the recipes sounded good (and it came with EDIBLE GLITTER!) so I made them for Mahjong last weekend. They were so delicious that of course I took a bunch of photos and had to share the recipe here. I will say that edible glitter and dried grapefruit wheels (both linked below) are now going to be main ..read more

Updated Denim.

I have talked about this at length but I’ve definitely spent the past few months refreshing my denim. So many of the styles I’ve loved (even my mom jeans) feel tired. I’ve ordered countless pairs of wide leg jeans and returned most of them. I’ve really tried with the barrel jeans but ultimately found the trend is (generally) not for me. And don’t even get me started on high-rise, non-stretch denim. That is just rude to your internal organs! Grace: I’ve had some success and we’ll talk about that today. To be totally honest, I think it’s just a lot of trial and error and seeing what works on yo ..read more

My Mahjong Setup.

I have been getting a lot of questions about my Mahjong setup so wanted to get up a quick post with links to everything. I keep my folding table and chairs in the corner of my porch and pull them out whenever we play. This time of year is absolutely perfect for porch Mahjong (that’s what we did this past weekend, it was heaven!) but the rest of the time I just set everything up in my dining room. You don’t need a folding table (I’ve played at friends’ dining tables a bunch!) but I find playing around a square table makes the setup feel like a true game night. As far as learning the game! Green is a Neutral.

Unless you are new here, you know how much I adore the color green. It is my most favorite color. It generally looks good with my complexion, the color itself makes me happy, and it still feels fresh, especially in the springtime. My personal favorite shade of green is a forest green… really, the green I have in my logo and branding. But I also love emerald, moss, olive… or a bright lime/chartreuse. For someone who prefers actual neutrals, olive green is a good starting point. As for me? I wear it all. An equal-opportunity lover of green. A few personal favorites: the snuggliest cardigan, the ..read more

Happy weekend (and happy Derby Day and Cinco de Mayo tomorrow if you are celebrating either of those things). I’ve have a few fun plans over the course of the weekend; a derby party later today and a Cinco gathering tomorrow. I also really want to see Challengers at some point. Same with The Fall Guy. I love having movies to look forward to! Whatever you’re up to, I hope it’s great. The Rest Gap: is this why women are so tired? (Huff Post) This $20 tie front top is such a gem. I always thought the vampire facial sounded scary but this news is even more terrifying. Yikes. (NPR) The biggest dif ..read more

And of course:: I’ve looped in Carly as two perspectives are much better than one and she is always so in the know about the cool up & coming, younger, IYKYK brands. Also, a few beauty codes to share! U BEAUTY: Take 20% off with code GRACEATWOOD. ISDIN: Take 15% off my new favorite retinal serum with code GRAC ..read more

Everything I Read in April 2024.

April was a solid month of reading. I read eight books in total. A nice round mix across all of my favorite categories (thrillers, non-fiction, literary and historical fictions, and some lighter reads). The biggest news of course is that Emily Henry’s new book is out and it’s excellent. I think it’s up there with People We Meet on Vacation and Book Lovers. Truly, the woman does not miss and every book she writes is fantastic. My other favorite fiction book from the month was The Sicilian Inheritance. My mom is loving it too. It’s got a bit of everything… history, a mystery, some scary crime s ..read more

My Favorite Kind of Girls Trip.

When it comes to taking a girls trip, I have a lot to say, and a lot of requirements. What can I say: I am an introvert in my forties; I’m comfortable with who I am! My Favorite Kind of Girls Trip. Here are a few: As my social battery can run low, I like to have my own room to retreat to at night. I’m a light sleeper and have a hard time sharing a bed so I enjoy a trip so much more when I have my own space. That being said, once I am awake, I want to be together! I want the closeness of getting up in the morning, having breakfast together… getting home from dinner and unwinding (preferably o ..read more

Happy weekend! This weekend I have a few family things, am planning on getting back on the workout train (accidentally took the whole week off, whoops), and spending as much time outdoors as possible. It is really really beautiful outside right now and that perfect “not hot but not cold” sort of warm weather we all love. I hope you have a great weekend and that you enjoy this week’s list. Why is Gen Z so obsessed with “old money style?” (GQ) This $130 jacket could pass for Nili Lotan. A martini tour of New York City. (New Yorker) A guide of American museums to visit this year. April’s Amazon Favorites.

This month’s Amazon favorites list is a little bit all over the place but aren’t they all!? It is the best mash-up of snacks, home decor, fashion, and beauty. As always, everything on this list is something I personally have and love; all tried and true vetted picks. I was definitely very influenced by Carly’s home picks (she really hit it out of the park with that post and is working on her next roundup!) as I wound up purchasing five of the products she sourced. Also on the home front are these acrylic side tables. Mary Hafner posted them and I ordered two on the spot. I need them to come b ..read more
