Mother’s Day mini sessions are back! And this year is going to be the best yet, given that Cardinal Point Vineyard has graciously allowed me to host the sessions at their gorgeous farmhouse.  Located right next to the vineyard, your ten minute portrait will take place on the property surrounding the house, and afterwards I hope you’ll enjoy the free wine and sweet treats on the porch as you soak in the views! Please note that this event isn’t just for mothers with young children! This is for all moms, the women who deserve to be in front of the camera with their children at all st ..read more

Sweet Baby Boy

Now that my girls are officially out of the baby stage, having the gift of spending time with newborns is well, a gift. There’s just nothing like those tiny hands and soft skin and loads of facial expressions that are all equally cute (even the crying ones). But my favorite thing to miss? The fresh out of a swaddle baby stretch, with hands held high above the head while little booties wriggle and feet curl up. Bonus points added if a yawn is thrown in too. It’s definitely one of those baby actions that can’t be pinpointed as to what day they suddenly grew out of it, but like many things ..read more

“We’ve had a couple of weeks with the wedding photos now. I still can’t find the words to thank you for what you’ve delivered to us. Before finding your work online, I was so anxious about finding a wedding photographer. I was worried about looking back at pictures and only seeing how uncomfortable I am in front of a camera. I’m amazed at how unfounded those fears ended up being. When I look at the photos you took, I see so much. I see the big moments that everyone in the room experienced, and the quieter, more private moments that were easy to miss. I see my dad’s joy, Lucas’ family’s e ..read more

I constantly pinch myself over the fact that couples like Laura and Patrick hire me to photograph their beautiful, perfectly executed wedding day without the fuss and stress that one would think should go along with that.  Laura and Patrick have amazing taste and wanted to throw a classic wedding celebration that was memorable for themselves and their guests, yet they kept a calm demeanor throughout the day that allowed them to really be present in the day and focus on the most important task of the day:  marrying one another. Which is why there wasn’t a dry eye in the house during their cerem ..read more

Ah, Julia and Jeff.  Where do I begin?  These two have a warmth about them that literally feels like a hug just being in their presence.  And if you think I’m just trying to use flowery words here, I promise you’ll see their amazing hearts when you scroll on down. Anyway, after meeting them, I didn’t expect anything less than their wedding day to be inviting, fun, and full of joy and love, just like the two of them. And naturally their wedding day did prove to be all of that…and then some.  The then some being the fact that not only did their day speak volumes about who they were as individual ..read more

If somebody contacts me who’s friends with Jessica of Phlour Flower Design, I know immediately that they’re going to be good people.  And not just good people.  Fun, loving, and laid back people.  So needless to say, when Carissa reached out about having me photograph her and Sam’s wedding at Castle Hill, it was an immediate yes from me – and thankfully for them, too, as Carissa was certain she wanted someone who captured their day with little intervention and with an eye for telling the story as it unfolded.  So a match was made…and then I counted down for 12 months for their big day to arriv ..read more
