Thank you to the Tuskegee Airman who Mike and I met at Walmart years ago. Thank you for being a trailblazer and creating opportunities for so many in the present. Thank you for focus in the madness called life and being one of support. Her strength and courage lives in her spirit. Thank you for the spiritual support and smile. The power to believe in the unseen force. Thank you for being everchanging and embracing the opportunities and age is only a number. The energy to grow and change is power and true. Thank you to the support of 7 children, as well as grandchildren plus, and still man ..read more

Candy

When I was a child I enjoyed the candy. I embraced the sweetness of the sugar. I loved the journey through my chocolate wonderland. It was two days after Halloween and the untouched veggie tray from work still lingers in my brain. The excitement for the sweetness of the tomatoes, snap peas, cauliflower, broccoli, and celery tickles my desire. It to me is now candy. It is funny how as we age our taste changes. We come to understand the enjoyment of candy isn’t candy anymore. It is the choice of enjoying the sweetness given by the divine world around us. It is the opportunity to feel good when y ..read more

Working

We spend our lives working. I question why. Is it to develop us into a better person? Is it to help the community be better? Is it just to live? Working becomes the sole purpose to exist. We are exhausted by the end of the day. It is an endless cycle and we become like a gerbil. Just when we can breathe the cycle starts again. Faith sometimes feels like work. We continue to believe in the higher power when we feel like it doesn’t exist. We understand that working through faith helps us become a whole spirituality person. We grow and see that faith is everywhere and it is not an endless cycle ..read more

Tonight I heard the voice inside of me. It called me and I answered! I am an activist and I want to be the voice that helps to change the world around me. I hear this angry inside me that builds and all I can do is silently scream. I am not sure of next step but I trust the power of the voice. It has courage that has been the core of being. I still finding my way and hoping that one day my voice can be like the voice of my ancestors. They were people who understood the journey begins when you trust the the universe and what it has do to offer. Activism is faith and faith is love of the divine ..read more

Hurricane It is a scary thing yet we don’t understand the true power of a hurricane… It may appear destruction is something to be afraid of… it is not… Sometimes… the only way to completely start over is the destruction of who — who you were… It is never easy to see what happens when the destruction comes! You will find a true community who will stand with you. You will find the power of loving wastefully and knowing that Love YES… Love is always the answer ..read more

Waiting

I read my Tarot cards on a daily basis. I have been trying to move forward and yet my cards tell me a different story. They said, “Wait.” The rewards are coming soon but there are more to prepare. I am restless. I have looked at the same wheel and spun on it too long. Yet I see and wait the word, “Wait.” Sometimes the journey isn’t about money or position but experience or opportunity. I am understanding the value in both parts of the journey. It is one of being the best you…the best who you could be. The waiting is hardest part. I have learned to trust the Universe and the Source in managing ..read more

Lost Of Spiritual Drive

We push day to day and after a while the spirit gets tired. We see life in just getting through the day. We become the best actor or actress and plant a smile or words to hide our truth. Even when doing that our truth shines through and the glasses are clear, we become empty. We start hearing with a bitter truth and it opens up that safe space. We are forced to confront our own spiritual struggles. We see the truth and go through it. It is painful and powerful. We find our way. We learn that losing our spiritual drive doesn’t mean you lose your faith. It means that we understand the journey re ..read more
