We love seeing the choices top wedding pros make when it comes to their own big days – so naturally we were thrilled to see the fabulous NYC Jewish wedding of Andrea, founder of Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor NYLUX Events, and Adam, who works in finance. Thanks to her work in the industry, Andrea knows all of the city’s under-the-radar venues, and she and Adam chose to wed at one of the very best: Carnegie Hall. Although it’s one of New York’s most iconic music venues, it’s a hidden gem of an events space, with outdoor space, epic views, and a prime location near Central Park – and And ..read more

If you’re dreaming of an English countryside wedding, it doesn’t get any better than this! Shayna, who works in ecommerce, and Marc, a trader at a bank, live in the US, but given that Marc is from London a destination wedding in England was a natural choice. And who wouldn’t want to make things official in the beautiful Cotswolds – especially at a venue as stunning as Cornwell Manor? A venue this gorgeous doesn’t need much in the way of décor – and indeed, Shayna and Marc picked a color palette of pale blue with hints of lavender and neutrals (and lots of greenery, put to excellent use in the ..read more

We see a lot of gorgeous chuppahs here at STG HQ, but today’s really takes the (wedding) cake. Gemma, a senior associate solicitor, and Kevin, a CEO and director, chose to wed at Switzerland’s Hotel Eden Roc Ascona because of its significance in the bride’s family history. But it also happened to be the absolute perfect spot for that breathtaking outdoor chuppah overlooking Lake Maggiore in the sunshine. The chuppah had transparent sides to ensure that all guests got a good view of the ceremony,  and the jewels hanging down from the sides of the chuppah picked up the reflections of the s ..read more

Do you need a new Jewish bestie? It’s been a rough past few months out there, and a lot of us have realized just how important it is to connect with our fellow Jews. Between the atrocities of 10/7 and rising antisemitism, nourishing Jewish friendships, there’s something about spending time with people who just get it that feels so nourishing.  That’s why I’m bringing back the Make a New Jewish Bestie Challenge, running from this Sunday, March 17 through Thursday, March 21 I ran the first-ever Make a New Jewish Bestie Challenge last November, and it was so incredibly heartwarmin ..read more

We love that Erin, a labour and employment lawyer, and Daniel, a national partnerships manager,  described their dream Jewish wedding as “a bar mitzvah, but for adults.” And between their bright color scheme and exuberant décor (don’t miss the flower clouds!), epic candy table and late-night McFlurries, custom temporary tattoos, glow sticks, and giant Horah heads featuring the bride and groom’s faces, Erin and Daniel absolutely succeeded in crafting a wedding overflowing with energy and fun – don’t miss the joyous photos and video from Picture and Poet! We also love that Erin opted to we ..read more

There’s something so special about getting married in Israel – and not just because of the sunny climate and stellar views. Cleveland couple Ophira, a therapist, and Jacob, a market research consultant decided to hold their Jewish wedding at Caesar Yam in honor of the couple’s strong collection to Israel, where Ophira grew up. The whole day was a celebration of the couple’s blended American and Israeli roots, and the importance of Israel in their lives – how cool is it that Ophira and Jacob wrote their vows in both English and Hebrew? We also love that Ophira wore her mom’s wedding dress from ..read more

Engagement rings tend to get all the love, but wedding bands are more of an opportunity for self-expression than we give them credit for – and that’s true even for the guys! Long gone are the days when the only options for wedding rings were a narrow selection of the same old metals – and we’re all for celebrating your marriage with a symbol as unique as the love it represents! To keep up with what’s trending in men’s wedding rings for 2024, we chatted with Thorum, a jeweler committed to crafting unique wedding rings since 2012. When St. Louis couple Tori and Jared started planning their Jewish wedding, their top priority was to make it a party. And that’s exactly what they did, from their post-Friday night dinner dance party, to the surprise New Orleans horn line parading through the aisle after the groom smashed the glass, to the all-night dancing that went until 2 AM! In the bride’s words, “I just wanted our closest friends and family to have the best night ever” – and judging by the joyous photos from  Verneda Lemons, we can safely say they did! We’re obsessed with Tori and Jared’s custom ketubah by Smashing ..read more

Since 10/7, I’ve been making an effort to support Israeli businesses – and I know a lot of you have too. And by far my favourite find has been FRÉ Skincare, an awesome Israeli brand with cutting-edge products that are giving me that post-spa glow every day.  I’ve been using FRÉ products for two months now, since the beginning of January this year, and they’ve been a total game changer for me. My skin has never felt so glowy, dewy, and radiantly healthy – and the ritual of using these seriously luxe-feeling products at the end of each day has become such a restorative wind-down routine ..read more
