Hey, everyone! It’s me again. Hope you are all doing well and aren’t too stressed out yet. Hey everyone! I’m back again with yet another article. This time, it’s about something we all know and dread: interviews. It’s mid-year, and the job market is hot and in demand for fresh university graduates and students looking for credit-bearing semester internships. Today, one of job seekers’ most frustrating and disheartening experiences is being “ghosted” by companies. Ghosting, a term more commonly associated with dating, is when someone suddenly cuts off all communication without explanation. […]

Hello everyone! I’m back again with yet another article! But don’t worry, I’m not writing about internships, working life or academics. I’ve done enough of that for the past few months (you can check out my previous articles if you are interested in those topics!). No, this time it’s a more relaxing topic — libraries! And despite my relatively hectic schedule in university, I do my best to make time to read.

While I didn’t plan on going on exchange, plans changed and I am now in Korea’s Yonsei University’s International Summer School (YISS) Program!
Hence, here are some things to note for those planning to go for YISS in upcoming years.
I am unsure how exchange protocols work for NUS and SMU, but I assume it would be similar to NTU’s.
For NTU, we need to have a minimum GPA requirement to apply for ex ..read more

Hey, everyone! I’m back yet again, and this time, we’ll be discussing one of the most prominent — if not the most prominent — for university students: LinkedIn!
Now, I’m sure most of you have, at the very least, heard of LinkedIn. But for those of you with a vague understanding or none at all, let me clarify. LinkedIn is a social platform used mainly for professional networking. While it is similar to Facebook or Twitter, it is mainly used as a ‘second resume’. Everything, ranging from picture selection to connection invites is done to portray the person (i.e. you) as a professional. You selec ..read more

Hello everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. And to all the students — hope you’re all enjoying your summer holiday! I’m back again with yet another article, and this time, we’ll be talking about one of the clubs that I joined in year one of university: debate club.
Now, I’m sure many of you are thinking: why are we talking about debate? What a nerdy activity. Yes, I openly confess that I am an absolute nerd — my hobbies range from playing musical instruments to chess and debating. In fact, when I was in the debate team, I subscribed to debate channels to learn and improve my debating skills. B ..read more
